We loved our stay at the cinnamon citadel. The hotel and the amazing pool were perfect for relax time after sightseeing the area. The view was amazing and calm. The service was impeccable, we enjoyed dinner and music every evening and finally stayed longer than planned.

Starting from front desk to F&B to housekeeping, all the staff were courteous and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They all had a smile on their faces all the time.

The hotel has a great sense of design, and the balcony of the hotel has a very beautiful view. The hotel has a large terrace, and a wedding was being held on the day we went there, which was filled with happiness and joy. There are lawns and big trees on the large terrace of the hotel, and you can also see the mountains in the distance. The service is friendly, American style, the swimming pool is large and clean, and there are not many people swimming. On the way to swim, I also saw a garden, which looked like a secret garden in the morning light. The food is very affordable and delicious, and the breakfast variety is super rich. It is the most cost-effective hotel in this trip to Sri Lanka.

The rooms are open to a balcony and it is a treat to have tea viewing the magnificent mountains.. The level of hospitality matches the famed Celonese hospitality and will be remembered for long and a must experience in Sri Lanka visit..

The reserved room bedroom has a loft that can sleep 3-4 people. The public areas and rooms are well decorated and maintained. The location is not far from the city center, but close to the road and railway. It is noisy at other times except at night. The hot water switch was hidden in the closet and was not turned on when checking in. There were no additional instructions. The front desk got off work at 10pm and could not be contacted, so I had to take a cold shower. There was a small gecko in the bathtub. Except for the soup, dinner was pretty unpalatable. The two types of fish I ordered were overcooked, dry, bitter, and maybe burnt. When I first checked in at 2 pm, I wanted to have laundry delivered to me. I was told that if I picked it up before departure the next morning, there would be an additional fee. However, I checked into another hotel of the same brand the day before and had laundry delivered at 10 pm the next morning before checking out. Washing, drying and ironing are done for free. What’s also strange is that the front desk helps you fill out the satisfaction survey feedback when leaving the store and asks you to sign it, while the previous one asked you to fill it out realistically. When you see the high score, you are also asked to provide suggestions for improvement. The difference in service awareness is evident.

The surrounding ecological environment is very good and the air is also very good. You can often see various birds and eagles, which is very suitable for people who like quietness and close to nature. The swimming pool is my favorite part. It is open almost all day. When swimming in the early morning or evening, I feel that the whole pool and the world belong to me, which makes people feel relaxed. The restaurant is also facing the pool. When dining, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and feel the tranquility of nature. After breakfast every day, I will sit on the platform to read or handle work. The atmosphere is quiet and the temperature is suitable. Looking back on the entire 20-day journey in Sri Lanka, this is one of the few places where I can read with peace of mind. The hotel is far from the city, and it may take 20 to 30 minutes of driving time for tourists who want to explore Kandy city. Secondly, the professionalism of service details can be improved. For example, there was a service staff performing local dances at check-in, but it was obviously perfunctory. After that, the hotel arranged a dedicated waiter and handed me a mobile phone for contact at any time, but her service seemed unfamiliar. For example, when I was in the room, I asked whether the curtains were manual or electric. After she answered that they were manual, she demonstrated and opened the curtains again. At that time, it was 6 or 7 o'clock in the evening. It was completely dark and there was no need to open it at all. The same waiter would ask me what I wanted to eat every morning at breakfast. I said that when I eat cereal, I always ask whether it is with coconut syrup or honey. I chose coconut syrup for four consecutive days, but I was asked again every day. It was quiet, and the temperature was perfect—not too hot. This hotel was one of the few places during my 20-day trip in Sri Lanka where I could truly relax and enjoy some peaceful reading time. However, the hotel has some shortcomings in its service. First, it’s located quite far from the city center, which might not be convenient for those looking to explore Kandy. Second, the quality of service felt unrefined. For example, upon check-in, staff members performed a traditional song and dance, but it felt half-hearted. Later, I was assigned a personal service staff member and given a phone for direct contact. However, the staff member seemed inexperienced. For instance, when I asked if the curtains were manual or electric, they demonstrated how to close them but then reopened them, even though it was already 6-7 p.m. and completely dark outside. These small details reflected a lack of polish in the service. Another minor issue was at breakfast. Every morning, I chose cereal and was asked if I preferred coconut syrup or honey. I answered “coconut syrup” every time, but the staff still asked me the same question every day. While it’s a small matter, it suggests room for improvement in their service process. Overall, the Jetwing Kandy Gallery is a great place to relax and connect with nature. The rooms, pool, and surrounding environment are excellent. If the hotel could enhance its service details, such as being more attentive to guests’ habits and preferences, the experience would be even better.

Stay for three nights. The hotel is heritage not recommended for a person who is afraid things stay alone. The location is perfect at the front gate of the temple of tooth relics. However, one male GSA do not respond well as I told him that the telephine is broken, the fridge inside is very hot and the light in the toilet is broken so many times. Until I checked out the telephine is still broken, the fridge inside is still very hot. But the light is fixed by an electrician who was recommended by male maid not GSA.

This hotel is not in Kandy. It takes about an hour and a half to drive from downtown Kandy, and it is all rugged and narrow mountain roads.
