Aegean Village Beachfront Resort

Don't stay there!! Vocation is all about the people around you, that eighter make it wonderful or horrible. After we checked in went to the beautiful room, only to discover there's a problem with the air-conditioning! (34° Greece)! 80% moisture ! Waited 7-8 hours while the hotel crew tried to solve the problem. Been told to get out of the room and "go sit by the pool". After all this time, they couldn't solve it. Apparently the teqnician guy said there's a problem at the all floor section. The hotel didn't find us another room, and the hotel manager: **Panagiotis Stamas** was rude, repulsive, just a horrible person. Doesn't fit to be serving people, manager he is not. Afterwards we discovered he left the poor girl at the reception alone at her second day. Who does that?! Waited for him to come to the hotel for a long time. We had to find another hotel at 18-19 at the evening loosing a day. There are so many beautiful hotels that are managed by families at Karapathos. Go to eighter of them, and nobody will treat you as a number. You deserve to enjoy and have your peace & quiet. Rose

The Aegean Village has a truly exceptional team of people at its service. I've never seen such warm and friendly hosts anywhere else in the world, and the internationality was also great for me. Of course, I can't name them all, but Yannis and Elaria at reception, who offered me exceptional service (e.g., returning the rental keys to the reception without any problems and picking up the car), or Lucas and Aneta at the bar, who treated us daily to excellent, varied cocktails, or Christos, who served us a meal in the evening that was second to none :) Simply wonderful people who love their jobs, and you can tell and feel it. The hotel is beautifully situated, the facilities are very good, and we had a magnificent room with a jacuzzi and panoramic terrace overlooking the beautiful bay of Amoopi. I can absolutely recommend the hotel :)

Great location with fine sea view from almost all rooms? Good breakfast, we also opted for halv board, which was a bit boring, same menue every night. Very friendly staff and good service. Amoopi is a quiet village with fine beaches and some tavernas/restaurants so it's a place to come to for relaxation.
