It was a wonderful visit. We enjoyed a lot of the recreational activities and the conference facility is very well run. Kudos to Urbanus.

The facilities are beautiful, the pool heated and the gym fully equipped and professionally manned. The gym attendant was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you Hezborne.

The Great Rift is a very pleasant place to stay with super staff who are friendly and welcoming. Of note we particularly enjoyed Dennis at the restaurant for his attentiveness and pleasant manner , Matilda in the treatment room was equally as delightful and did a fabulous massage ! The grounds are beautiful but we were saddened to see extensive use of pesticides being sprayed everywhere in the grounds which not only would kill mosquitoes but will wipe out all other insect life essential for food sources to many birds . Please investigate other non harmful ways to reduce mosquito such as draining their breeding pools ..or encouraging bats . The 7.30 pm first sitting of the restaurant for dinner struck us as late whereas a 6.30 pm offering would be more helpful . The steel capped water bottles in the room were extremely tricky to open and I cut my finger trying to open one of them ( reception had no plasters ?!? ) . Perhaps just source a standard screw cap ? Overall though a very nice place to stay made special by the staff ! Thanks

Very Disappointing Experience We arrived at Lake Odéon Resorts in Nairobi around 2:30 a.m. after a long journey. Unfortunately, the welcome was cold and uninviting: no greeting, no hospitality, not even a glass of water offered. The staff seemed only interested in getting paid, and the payment process took nearly an hour, during which we had to stand, exhausted. After such a reception, we lost all interest in staying. We decided to leave the hotel just a few hours later. A very disappointing experience. 🥵

We were enchanted by our stay at the Great Rift Valley Lodge. Our room said hi on the hill, above the treetops, overlooking the lush rift valley. We were here on full board, and enjoyed the buffet breakfast, but ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner. Warm, crackling fires in the fireplace in the lodge and bar added to the lovely ambience. A true retreat!
