Tiancheng International Youth Hostel (Kashgar Ancient City Branch)

This place is amazing. Very well located, rooms are super nice and super clean, and above all everyone at the hostel is super nice, very helpful (I arrived very lately and they helped me to get some foods, a charger, etc). I would 100% recommend this place. Thank you to the manager who is amazing and lovely.

Very central hostel, han-chinese owner speaks english and can give you tipps on what to do and where to eat, spacious room. I had no hot water in my shower, but maybe I didn‘t find out how to get it. Not that many people were in the hostel during my stay.

The hostel accepts foreigners. The staff was very friendly and helped me to find a place which issues permits for Tashkurgan. They quickly respond to WeChat messages and are well informed about the things that an ordinary backpacker might need. The hostel itself has very comfortable beds, hot water and shampoo. My stay was very nice, and I totally recommend it.

The girl on the front desk is helpful using her phone translator, there’s beer in the fridge (Wusu is the strongest but not very strong), the 4-bed room has bathroom and curtains for the beds for privacy. Nice to hear the music from below reaching the room. Great to be in Kashgar for the brilliant Sunday Grand Bazaar livestock and food market, and for the unadorned serene Id Kar main mosque (one of 24,300 mosques in Xinjiang), the mausoleum (walk up the long side road and see it from the back first: it’s beautiful there, there’s no one else and the cemetery is also amazing). The old city isn’t so special but there is a separate part over the main road rather is much less touristy and more appealing. There’s also this beautiful cafe there shown on the last three photos here, with loads of coffees, playing Astrid Gilberto, and with beautiful features he chose to add to the original old-city building.

Lovely place to talk to other travellers. Perfect for individual travellers.

Right in the center of old town very nice people convenient location. There is kitchen available Wi-Fi available. Social area is very nice as well. Daily activities are beautiful. I highly recommend this place.
