Neptune Pwani Beach Resort & Spa Zanzibar - All Inclusive

My partner and I stayed here for 10 days in late September. On arrival we were greeted at reception with a drink and a much-needed hot towel after a very long flight. From the moment we arrived everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. Our luggage was taken to our room while we were checking in, during checking we were provided a map with all relevant information such as restaurant times and provided services. Once checked in we were taken by golf cart to our room, this was up a very steep hill but the golf cart service is complimentary. The room was clean, tidy and spacious. It came with a large balcony which had 2 chairs and a table. The room contained a large and comfy 4 posted bed with mosquito netting all around, a vanity table and large mirror, Side board with Tea and Coffee facilities, a mini fridge with complimentary soft drinks, a wardrobe with an ironing board, iron and umbrellas. The room also provided Towelling robes, Slippers, pool towels and a beach bag. The bathroom was large, it has 2 sinks and a big shower with a waterfall head, the toilet was quite high for me (5’3) my feet dangled but it did what its meant to do. It also provided a shaving mirror, large mirror, powerful hairdryer and large towels. Steps are available to go down the hill, each step has a low step down so it is not to hard on your knees or you can call reception for a golf cart. Reception has a lovely fountain which is always decorated with fresh flowers and comes with friendly and welcoming staff. The main pool with the pool bar has both deep and shallow sections and is very large. There is also another large pool with both deep and shallow sections, this is closer to the buffet and is significantly quieter. Both however are clean. The buffet restaurant which can be used for Breakfast, lunch and dinner is a large area with plenty of helpful staff and lots of choice when it comes to food, the also offer the Italian as a place to go for lunch. For dinner there are also 3 restaurants you can book, Italian, Indian and Thai, our favourite was the Indian but all are very good with a decent amount to choose from. There is a gourmet which you can book and pay for, we did not attend this so can not comment. Evening entertainment is also available, this is on the ‘stage’ area near the main buffet restaurant, this unfortunately goes on at the same time as dinner so you are not able to fully enjoy the show, I feel this would be better if, for example is started 1 hour after dinner begins, then people can chose to have dinner early but still catch the show. The beach is a few steps from the pool, powdery white sand, there are plenty of sun loungers and if you cant find one in the spot you like then one of the very helpful beach attendants will be there to assist. There is a wall to stop the waves and then the sea, beyond the wall you will find a few men and women selling tours, trinkets, clothes and so on, they are not harassing, and a simple no thank you if you aren’t int

This is a very nice and beautiful beach resort along the east coast of Zanzibar. The staff was so friendly, the accommodations nice, beach was spectacular colors and chairs in the shade easy to find. All inclusive food was good, typical for a resort and drinks plentiful. Mosquito nets for the beds, bottled water for use in the room. Special thanks to the staff for their friendly and prompt service! Note that many of the rooms are up the hill. The partial ocean view rooms, including ours were 71 steps up and down. For younger people this isn't a big deal, and the staff in the lobby is happy to take older folks like us up the hill in golf carts. We'd stay here again!

Such a Perfect Place to be!! The Hotel is very beautiful and the Service is extraordinary! Especially the Service from Allen, the best bartender! His Cocktails are so tasty and a Special thanks for the delicious mocktail for my daughter

I hesitated to write a review for a long time, but finally I have to write it. The hotel is quite nice, the staff is also okay. The food was not much for a 5 star hotel, Cocktails at the bars were quite good, although the best were by the pool. Now to my big experience. In the bathroom above the sink there are lamps, the first day I thought they were putting rice in the lights because of the humidity, but then I found out that it was moving and that they were bugs. We went to the reception and asked them to solve it somehow. The gentleman came and made a cone out of paper and poured the bugs in there, but it didn't work very well and we now had bugs everywhere, even in our toothbrushes. Everyone can imagine when bugs are marching in your hygiene items. A big argument broke out and I refused to return to that room. Finally, the hotel manager came and offered us a room change. A visit to the room convinced me that this room was not free of bugs either and the lamp in the bathroom was broken. There was a big argument that there was no room available, but in the end it was, because a guest with suitcases at the reception is not good for the hotel. Please, everyone who stays here, especially check the bathrooms and don't think like me that there is rice in the light. I was told that it was normal. It didn't seem like I was sharing my bathroom with bugs in a 5-star hotel. Blanka Leva

We have been visting Neptune Hotel in Zanzibar. Great memories and feeling. Especially Mr Alen at the bar jummy drinks nice smile man.

We are so happy to be at this hotel and so grateful about services here and especially Allen with his natural smile and kindness, good cocktail maker, but also the food was great and the room so confortable and kept clean all days. Thank you so much
