MELIÁ Zanzibar

The hotel was nice although the food quality did not meet a 5 star standard. The food at the buffet and pool bar were very low quality and I was indeed surprised by the small variety of options. The rooms were nice and spacious.

In a world seemingly taken over by AI, robots and automated phone systems, thank-you, Melia, for proving that proper customer service still exists. Having stayed at a Melia before (Tenerife), we always knew that come our Honeymoon, it would be worth a look. We spent an incredible week on Safari in Tanzania before travelling to Zanzibar. Unfortunately, whilst we made it, our luggage did not. Stressed, concerned & frustrated, our honeymoon was, at this point, far from our dream. Thankfully, the Team at Melia Zanzibar, who understood our situation, went above & beyond to ensure the comfort of our stay, and to chase our luggage to overcome a problem outside of their control. A special shout out to Ali & the team made every effort to keep us happy, including a made-up room of balloons, a welcoming package, a fabulous dinner at The Jetty restaurant (a must try!). The hotel is spotless, the room was clean, and the showers were probably the best I’ve come across in any hotel. Without a doubt, a 5-start option, highly recommended. Thank-you, Melia Zanzibar!

Excellent comme d’habitude

We had a most relaxing Honeymoon stay at Melia Level after our Safari. This hotel is top notch, from beautiful rooms to great food and amenities, but the wonderful staff sets it apart from the rest. Sheila welcomed us with a beautiful smile and personality. She took extremely good care of us during our stay. There is a reason why she is the first person you meet on the property. We plan on coming back to Melia just because of her. Our favorite waitress at the Level Restaurant was Witness. Nick was a great bartender and Lilian kept us hydrated by the pool and laughing all day.

The staff are incredibly helpful always meeting our needs and wants with a smile. The setting is amazing. The beds are extremely comfortable and easy to sleep in. The staff really take good care of guests to this hotel.
