Mythos Palace Resort & Spa

Quest'anno siamo tornati per la quinta volta al Mythos Palace. La struttura è molto bella e ci troviamo benissimo. Il personale è molto cortese ed efficiente, il servizio accurato, le camere accoglienti. Alla reception gli addetti sono sempre disponibili per fornire informazioni e risolvere eventuali problemi. Il ristorante principale a buffet offre una vasta scelta; è anche possibile pranzare alla taverna sulla spiaggia, che di sera funziona su prenotazione come ristorante con un menù tipico greco. La sera sono previsti spettacoli realizzati con artisti esterni. La spiaggia è sabbiosa e lunga parecchi Km; però nella zona ovest di Creta ci sono spiagge bellissime che è possibile raggiungere con tour organizzati o in autonomia con una macchina a noleggio; non sono vicine, ma vale la pena di vederne almeno qualcuna. Nella zona ci sono due belle città (Chania e Rethimno) che val la pana di visitare.

Esperienza sopra le mie aspettative. Struttura e camere pulite e ordinate in maniera eccelsa. Cibo vario e in quantità 24 ore al giorno , addirittura la pasta e la pizza erano ottime ( e lo dico con condizione lavorando nella ristorazione). Spiaggia pulita con mare cristallino , lettini sempre disponibili in quantità. Personale gentile educato competente e animazione di qualità ma non invadente. Uno se non il migliore resort di creta.

We were welcomed on arrival with with cold drinks and food on after a late flight in. The staff were amazing and greeted you evey day with smiles , the service is what you expect from a 5 star hotel , rooms spotless, bar staff incredible, beach kept clean and tidy and always a sunbed awaiting your arrival. Pool great size and plenty of sun loungers available. But my hero's are the chefs , the all day food was delicious and the you just knew the level of effort put into each plate . Un hôtel fabuleux, une plage privée superbe, les restaurants, les bars et les cocktails sont top. Et le personnel aux petits soins, de la réception aux restaurants en passant par les femmes de ménage. La réceptionniste Mariana nous a même fait une attention spéciale pour nos 30 ans de mariage.

Stunning views, beautiful rooms . Well maintained pools . A very high standard of food and cleanliness. From the first step into the hotel early hours of the morning - I felt like a Princess, our bags carried to our room and friendly welcome with English speaking staff. The restaurant was open at 2am for us to have a light meal . We had the most beautiful room with a shared pool. Very clean rooms! A very high standard of food and cleanliness. 5* food options and a varied selection for everyone. We booked a romantic meal at the Beach Restaurant , the best Greek meze ever! I wish I could cook lamb like that. Good communication, letters to door to explain about changes to excursion start time . Lovely to have an evening entertainment too, live music aswell. I also enjoyed the Spa , such friendly staff an huge thank you so Terry , Georgia , Maria . I enjoyed the 5* massage and aloe Vera skin treatment , we can highly recommend Maria for a massage - a fantastic Honeymoon experience! A huge thank you to all the hard working staff . We needed a late check out and extended our all inclusive with no problem. We will be back !

On arrival, all seemed pleasant , lovely interior and a refreshing soft drink handed to us. The receptionists appeared welcoming initially, and walked us to a room on the ground floor. First thoughts when we entered the room, it was dark and depressing, the bathroom was very dated and felt unclean. We was dissatisfied with the location of the room as we requested a garden view however it over looked the pool in a main walkway to the restaurant with no privacy. The nets were tired and dated and our backs were very stiff the next morning from the mattresses. There were also many ants on the floor. The towels were off white and hard which is not 5 star. The next day we complained to reception who was initially disgruntled by our comments and made us feel it was our fault as we didn’t request a room, however we requested a garden view. We were eventually accommodated the following day and moved to the 3rd floor with a beautiful Mountain View. The bathroom appeared less tired but still needed updating. On a positive note, there was always something to eat for even the fussiest eaters, the staff were attentive and friendly. Our maid, Nina was lovely and made up our room excellently daily, however a fresh mid week linen change would be appreciated. The location of the beach and pool is flat and accessible with tasty cocktails. Kids clubs was far too late, it was loud and spoilt the ambience for eating dinner in the beautiful outside spaces. What made our holiday was the animation team, they were faultless with fantastic evening entertainment and around the pool. We loved aqua aerobics. On departure, a receptionist questioned our demeanour when we arrived stating we looked “Sad, and did you leave your troubles behind” which felt intrusive when we were fine. Overall our experience was satisfactory, the hotel is definitely not 5 star. I know we are being critical, but it’s constructive feedback for the hotel to improve customer experience.
