Our daughter and her family live in the Keene area and we started staying in this hotel when we visit shortly after it opened. We were there again last month and we very disappointed. The carpeting throughout the hotel is filthy. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned ever in some areas. The elevators are particularly bad. The room is poorly maintained. There is mildew around the bottom of the shower and some of the furniture was broken and dirty. The bed was one of the least comfortable we've slept in. Breakfast is included with the room, but it's mediocre at best. There's always a hot bar with some form of meat, usually sausage, potatoes, and an egg dish. They are all of institutional quality and seem like they were frozen food that has been microwaved. They do have a make your own waffle station, which is the only decent thing there. They have baked goods, including muffins, bread, bagels, and some form of danish, none of which are very good. They have a juice machine, which appears to be set to dispense very watered down juices. They have coffee set up in the lobby, but it's usually luke warm at best, and weak. They don't have cream, but do have an assortment of artificial creamers full of chemicals. Overall, I would expect more for what they charge for these rooms.

My son recently relocated to Keene, and since he had just moved in to a new house we decided to stay at Hampton Inn for our visit. I believe this was our first time staying at a Hampton Inn, and we were not overly impressed. There were certainly a number of positives: the staff was friendly and accommodating, the electronic check in/out and using the app for our room key worked perfectly, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom appears to have been remodeled and was fine. But there were also some things that bugged us: the entire hotel could use a makeover and a good cleaning; the carpets were worn and dirty in the elevators, hallways, and in certain parts of our room. There was trash piled on and around the trashcans by the elevators on our floor. Our room on the second floor was also fairly noisy; I had to turn off the A/C system because the loud fan kept waking us up, and on Saturday morning there was a lot of noise coming from the car dealership or whatever auto repair shop was directly behind us--I suspect it would have been quieter on the front side of the hotel. Breakfast was fine, but the staff didn't do a good job keeping up with refilling oatmeal and other items as they were used, nor did they keep up with cleaning the breakfast area as guests came and went. None of this would have bothered us too much except that the rates at this hotel are high compared to, say, a Holiday Inn Express with comparable features and amenities. I expected better.

Wonderful new accommodations, perfect pool for little ones, awesome free breakfast. I would absolutely stay her again!

All of the staff were great and I had no problems checking in or out. My room and all public areas were clean, but I noticed a strange smell as soon as I stepped off the elevator and in my room. I feel like the hotel should invest in something to make the rooms and hallways more pleasant smelling. I rarely note the smell of a place but this was very distinct. The morning of check out there was also clearly an issue with the fire alarms, which no one really addressed.

Carpet was nasty and sticky. Breakfast area out of condiments for oatmeal x 3 days. Night clerk sleeps at desk. Day manager wears wrinkled and dirty looking shirts

Keene NH Hampton was probaly the nicest Hampton I ever stayed at. Clean & friendly
