Park Hotel Kenmare

Excellent experience 10 out of 10 we loved our room and the spa was wonderful. We highly recommend it!

We visited for lunch. The staff were very nice however our lunch was certainly not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Our chips were cold and a steak sandwich was also cold. A burger was not as described and also was barely warm When we mentioned that our chips were cold we were told that they would be replaced however we were ready to leave and the chips had not been replaced. We mentioned to a staff member who just apologised and said that they would note our comments. He did not change us for 2 drinks. My husband then felt that he needed to speak to a manager. 5 star hotel needs 5 star attention .The manager asked where we were from which was 4 hours away and he said that the next time we were passing to call him and he would give us a free lunch....Feel that the Park Hotel is not as it was with its previous owners, and food definitely not 5 star. So disappointed with food and response to our issues

I honestly feel like I have glimpsed heaven. A beautiful and charming hotel, full of old fashioned charm and friendliness, with views of gardens, mountains and a lake, you could only dream of. The breakfast and dinner were perfect. I hope it never changes

We absolutely LOVED this hotel. We were most likely one of many couples trying to decide whether to stay in Killarney or Kenmare. I read forum after forum and review after review trying to decide. Ultimately we decided on Kenmare and this beautiful property. After spending several days there we really were happy with this decision. We spent some time in Killarney and although it is stunningly beautiful, it was much more of a larger town with a very touristy feel. Not to say that there’s anything wrong with that because it was delightful, but Kenmare was much quieter and perfect for what we were looking for. We were elated with our choice from the moment we arrived. The location is ideal whether you are exploring the town which is a short stroll away or heading out to drive the ROK. Its such a perfectly lovely location. We had booked ourselves into a Bay Suite with Terrace. We loved everything about the room. The decor was a refined elegance. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was ideal and bath products were amazing. The room was very spacious. It had a nice terrace outside overlooking the lake which we used often. It was simply a very comfortable room that thoroughly enhanced our stay. Just like many luxury properties it’s really the staff that makes your experience go from great to exceptional. This was exactly the case here at this property. Everywhere you turned the staff members were there to help you and make sure your trip was delightful. It all starts with the doorman who were so gracious and friendly. I definitely have to call out another staff member in particular, the bartender Rob. Wow, did we have fun each evening with him. We had never met anyone that knew so much about Irish whiskey. He was such a lovely person and so much fun to chat with each evening. We loved how warm and friendly he was. It was really sad the last night saying goodbye. We dined at the Landline restaurant for breakfast each morning and dinner one evening. The food was terrific and the service provided was excellent. We loved how close the hotel was to the neighboring golf course. We simply walked out of our room and were at the clubhouse within 2 minutes. When in Kenmare it would be ashame not to try other restaurants as well. We would highly recommend dining at Mulcahy's and the Lime Tree Inn next door to the hotel. Both had amazing atmospheres and the food was fabulous! As stated above, we were so elated with our choice of hotel, especially for this region. The ROK is such an iconic Irish destination that you want to have a perfect hotel to accompany this adventure and the Park Hotel Kenmare was just that! If and when we do make it back to this region, we will without a doubt stay here again!

Spa is so disappointing. Were never even informed that there was a larger pool. Changing rooms were freezing the relaxation room was beyond Baltic no way anybody could relax in it. Swimsuits all destroyed from residue that came off in the outdoor hottubs. We did receive money back due to the bad experience but unfortunately just doesn’t make up for the let down experience for what was meant to be a very special occasion. Your money also goes a lot further in other spa’s for a nicer experience
