Sunshine Corfu Hotel and Spa

Just come back today from a week at this hotel . We had a bungalow which was spacious and clean . The bathroom and shower was the best! The hotel is lovely and the views are beautiful. The private beach has a lift going down to it . The water is crystal clear and the fish come feed from your hand. The staff at the hotel can not do enough to help and make every day enjoyable. The bar staff and animation team are just fabulous! We didn’t really enjoy the food , they could have done with more options for the children . We stuck to the snack bar which was kebabs every day but was the nicest food available to us. Lots of salad and chips. Over all we had a great holiday , I would recommend this hotel based on the views and the staff made our experience what it was. The swimming pools are clean and good temperature. Don’t listen to the bad reviews.

WONDERFUL AND EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! We’ve just returned from an unforgettable holiday at Sunshine Corfu Hotel & Spa, and we couldn’t be happier. From the very first moment, the staff welcomed us with warmth and kindness that truly makes a difference. We especially want to highlight the lovely ladies at reception: Penny, Viktoria, Sofia, and Marlen — always with a smile, ready to help, and doing everything possible to make our stay perfect. An absolutely delightful team! The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and offer dreamlike views of the Ionian Sea, making every morning feel like a gift. The variety of food and drinks was great, always well presented and with something for every taste. A very special thank you to Agrippina Deyanira, who served us with such kindness and professionalism at the buffet. Always attentive to every detail and with a warm attitude we truly appreciated. I highly recommend this hotel, not only for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful facilities, but above all for the amazing staff that makes it even more special. Ευχαριστούμε ΠΑΡΑ ΠΟΛΥ!!! Σίγουρα θα επιστρέψουμε! (Thank you VERY MUCH!!! We will definitely come back!)

We arrived at Sunshine Corfu at around 10pm and our party of 10 were greeted by two receptionists and welcome drinks and food (as we had just missed dinner time). Staff were friendly and check-in efficient. The reception desk is located on the first floor, with a large staircase going down to the second floor where theres a bar and entertainment takes place. As it was the beginning of the season, the hotel was quiet and so initially there was a lack of atmosphere but there was a quiz taking place on the second floor. A member of staff carried our suitcase to our room and showed us how to use the air conditioning, which I really appreciated. The room and en-suite was clean but somewhat dated. The balcony was very large and the view breathtaking. The shower is a shower head over a bathtub, I personally would have preferred a full shower cubical but the water pressure was great. Initially, the bed seemed very firm but I slept great. The TV in the room was huge and had a few news channels in English and a channel showing English movies on the night. The mini fridge had a free bottle of water inside, it would have been nice if this was replenished daily. There was also no coffee/tea making facilities. I really enjoyed the food. Breakfast could have had more variety but lunch and dinner was great. Other than the pasta options, I don’t think I ate the same meal twice during the week. The beer was excellent but the wine not so much. The staff were friendly and on top of it with removing empty plates and clearing the tables. The dining room has beautiful sea views. The bars offered beer, wine, spirits and 6 cocktails all inclusive. The outside area has so much potential. The hotel is located on the side of a cliff so there’s a lot of stairs but two lifts that get you from the beach to bottom pool and bottom pool to top pool. There are two pools and a private beach. We only used the bottom pool which had a pool bar. The pool was adequate. The beach was lovely. The hotel has a gym but it was being renovated during our stay, which my boyfriend found disappointing. The hotel was very quiet but the staff tried their best to keep us entertained, there was entertainment on every night. This ranged from live music, quizzes, karaoke and bingo. I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, efficient and tried their best. The view from our room incredible and the food/drinks lovely. The majority of the negatives came from us visiting the hotel early in the season. This hotel has potential.

We were looking for a holiday that made us slow down, so somewhere away from the mainstream is what we were looking for and this is what we found with this hotel. Booking a standard bungalow was a very good choice lots of space very clean and a covered patio with superb views. There were a few faults but these were rectified within 10 minutes of reporting them to the reception. All bar one of the staff were faultless, though indications that the hotel did not have enough staff were very apparent. The restaurant was a disappointment, very little choice and the quality was poor, vegetarians or gluten fee requirements were poor with very little live cooking at any time. Breakfast choices were extremely limited tinned mushrooms, backed beans, fried eggs and a block of scrambled egg that very few people even tried, some processed bacon, yogurts were a good selection, but fruit was a slice of orange kiwi or melon if you were quick enough. You would not go hungry here but if you were looking for traditional Greek then you would be in the wrong place. We also found it difficult to book any excursions via the reception as stated in the welcome booklet so we explored using the public transport Would we go back to this hotel the answer would have to be no!

We came here with 3 children ages 14, 9 and 6 for 10 nights and all I can say is wow! The kids loved every second of it and didn’t want to come home! We arrived at 1am and there was plates of food waiting in the room which we were grateful for as the children where starving. In the first day we requested a room change as all 5 of us where sharing one room and we where upgraded to a newly refurbished bungalow with no extra charge which was perfect with a seperate room for myself and my partner and a room for the children plus a furnished balcony over looking a beautiful view of the sea. All the staff are lovely especially the man on the pool bar (I can’t remember his name) and the managers wife who was lovely. The entertainment staff were amazing with the children and always got them involved with the discos, karaoke ( I definitely took over that ) and bingo in the evening plus waterpolo and darts in the day at the entertainment.. illyas from the entertainment always got us up dancing and the girls always had the kids running around including playing tag with them. The hotel was always clean and tidy and cleaners came each day to replenished towels and change bedding etc. I can honestly say this has to have been my favourite holiday and I go abroad twice a year! We will definitely be returning! There is also a father and daughter that come to the dock every morning and take you over to Kassiopi for 25 euros each which was a lovely trip and they stop at a beach on the way back for drinks and swimming. There is also a bus directly outside the hotel that takes u into Corfu old town for 2.40 each. All in all it was a fabulous holiday so thankyou to all the staff for making it perfect!

I was there with my husband and my baby boy, the room was very dirty, the toilet blocked, the fridge was very dirty and it smelled terrible. I asked them many times to bring someone to clean fridge because i want to put baby foods and no one came. The food was extremely disgusting. I asked them to just make my baby food hot and they told we cant. The elevator to go to the beach never works, you had to do stairs with the baby and the trolley in hands. I called them and they told me that the elevator is not on and we cant turn it now because the man who is turning it on and off is not at the office. In thos resort if you want to go in the beach around 10 a clock in the morning you cant find towels. This resort can not be called resort. Is everything horrible and the staff is very disrespectful. Very disappointed.
