We spend two weeks in this resort and everything/ everyone was simply perfect. As soon as we check-in they bring us dinner in the beautiful room since we arrive late (10.30/11pm) a gesture of care we really appreciate. Throughout our stay, all the team was super nice, friendly and caring, without any exception: from the bar,restaurant and chefs, reception, house keeping and garden etc. Their care and kindness were evident, and not only they make sure our stay was beautiful but we also made good friends. I will miss this place. They keep the place in super high standards! One small note I just want to make is about the prices: this is no way a reflection on the staff, who were fantastic. Some of the food prices, especially for lunch ( which we didn’t have included and tried a couple of time) , felt quite high for us. The food itself was always super good and tasty and we understand the prices are set for a tourist hotel rather then local standards. As European visitors we simply found them a bit expensive for our budget. Thanks you so much!!!

Excellent stay and amazing people What an amazing stay at BSL. Wonderful beach front property with small villas. Blown away by the delicious food and attentive staff. Everyone was super nice and an extra shoutout to Joel the manager and Fred the receptionist. Fred greeted us warmly and was so kind to share tips for our stay in Kilifi, really appreciated and thanks Fred. Thank you everyone for a wonderful stay!!!!!!!

We spent 2 wonderful weeks at Baobab Sea Lodge with our three teenage children. The hotel is located next to a beautiful, long, often almost empty beach. Away from resorts and noise. The food is delicious, fresh and carefully presented. The service is class in itself. Always nice, alert and professional. We felt at home. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. We will come back to you.

Sadly not worth it… We visited the property before booking and were shown around, after which we decided on and booked a deluxe room with pool view. However, when we showed up for check in, we were taken to a another (lower category) room - without any information from the staff. We asked the staff member if this really was a deluxe room, which he insisted on it being. Turns out he lied. After we contacted the reception, we were informed that the room category we had booked was fully booked. We insisted on being compensated, so they offered a room at another hotel, a couple of km up along the beach, which we declined. Instead we suggested we’d at least be compensated with complimentary massages, which they eventually agreed to. The pool area is nice and the staff there were really attentive. The masseuses are also great! However, the sound proofing in the premier rooms (which is the one we ended up getting) is non existent. If you’re on the lower floor, you’ll be able to hear every sigh, every bathroom visit…you name it…from the guests upstairs. Unfortunately, our neighbor got home late and stayed up for the rest of the night, so we weren’t able to get any sleep. The facilities are dated but the hotel is beautifully situated. The breakfast was so-so. All in all, there are way better options for accommodation in Kilifi. (Distant Relatives and Salty’s being two of them.)

Visited this place for a conference! was an excellent environment and relaxing. A very quiet surrounding and garden in Kilifi, it is one of the MADA Hotels in Kenya. We enjoyed the large swimming pool, Pool Bar and Walk along the beach. Baobab Sea Lodge in Kilifi is a charming coastal retreat along Kenya’s Indian Ocean coast. It’s known for its serene atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and relaxed vibe.
