The hotel is old and aged, but good regardless. Check in was easy, the room was clean, AC worked and balcony was a nice addition. We watched them clean the pool, which was interesting with the vacuum they used. (I say this because a previous review said the pool was dirty) I needed toothpaste and toothbrush and extra towels and they were very accommodating. Staff was friendly The only hiccup was our room keys needed reactivated mid way through out two night stay.

First, I booked a room online. Didn’t realize there was smoking and non smoking rooms, when I did I went back to change it and was charged another extra $40 for a non smoking room. Upon online check in, the rules popped up and lo and behold this is a 100% non smoking hotel. Then I went to go pick up the keys after arriving and was charged another $20 and they couldn’t tell me why. The kids were exhausted and so were we after a long day so I just ended up paying it. We get to our room and the lock latch was broken, the room smelled like cigarettes and the floors hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks it appeared. The toilet was clogged, and the shower was rusty. If I am paying $400 a night for a hotel room I expect it to be better than this. I will not be returning and I will be posting this to warn others of this place.

Photos of this location do not accurately show the condition of the property. When you check in you do so with a person on a computer screen. They have you scan your ID and who knows where that goes. No live person at the desk. Our room was not in good shape . The door jam was rusted out so that the door did not close completely. If anyone pushed it hard from the outside it could be forced open. We relied on the safety bar for security. The dead bolt went into the same rusted out jam so it still wasn't closed tight when in use (room 219). We didn't feel completely safe at night but did not have any other options for the nights we were there. The room was very small, not like in the pictures. The toilet had to be flushed mult times each use. The drain to the shower was rusted. The shower head was broken. The wall paper was loose and lifting off the wall in places. The carpet did not look clean. The bed did appear to be freshly made and clean. The one saving grace to this hotel is the beach entrance was across the street. That said I would not recommend this hotel or ever stay there again.

Clean and comfortable Upon arrival there was no desk attendant and a room full of people waiting to check-in via a kiosk. Max, the kiosk guy, was super friendly. Unfortunately, getting clean towels or toilet paper was extremely difficult because there was not an attendant. If you asked a random employee they “would pass the message”. One day it took 3 requests and the entire day to get clean towels. Our room was pet friendly and clean. The beds were super comfortable! Beach access was directly across the street. Overall a good stay and would stay again.

We decided to stay at Holiday Inn Express after seeing the state of the room. This hotel is not clean, there is nobody at the front desk, just a virtual agent kiosk.
