Old Weir Lodge

Old weir lodge was such a dream stay! The rooms are large with big windows and comfortable beds/bedding. There are several sitting areas to use during the day to read and relax as well as have a cocktail at the bar in the afternoon. Breakfast was enjoyed daily in the sun room and had ample options for preference and dietary restrictions. The location was walkable to historic attractions, pubs, and restaurants. We did not make any plans but the front desk had several suggestions and were so glad we took one day to explore the national park by boat. We also enjoyed a day trip to dingle. I would very much enjoy staying here again as it also seemed like locals from all over Ireland were on holiday here as well. The landscaping and flowers all over the property are out of a fairy tale. This was for my mom’s 61st birthday and the front desk was able to surprise her with a cake from the local bakery on our last morning there.

We could not be happier with our choice to stay at Old Weir Lodge. From the minute we walked in, we felt like we were home. The room was spacious and comfortable - we got the family room which was perfect for our 12 and 14 year old - they each had their own single bed. Niall, Linda and Noreen were so helpful the 3 days we were there, that the kids wished we could stay longer in the small town. The lodge is a 5-10 minute walk into the center of town, and 5 minutes from the National Park. You will not regret staying at Old Weir Lodge and visiting Killarney. We will definitely be back.

Lovely place to stay and wonderful staff. The rooms were nice, clean and bright. The staff at breakfast were so courteous and inclusive. The location made the stay so accessible to the town. It all summed up to a great 2 nights stay.

We loved our time at the Old Weir Lodge. Everybody was warm and helpful. The quality and the variety of the breakfast choices was very good (our children especially loved the hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows). The room was nice and clean. We were comfortable and happy and had a good gome base for our adventures in and around Killarney.

We really enjoyed our stay over the bank holiday weekend. We were warmly greeted, and check-in process was very easy. The decor is a little on the dated side, but the important stuff - like comfort of bed, and cleanliness were top notch. And the breakfast was lovely. Lots to choose from and the warm food was delicious. Staff were so accommodating and kind. There is plenty of onsite parking which was also appreciated. Perfect launch spot to explore all that county Kerry has to offer!! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel, and would book again if in the area.

I loved my stay here. The rooms were spacious enough. The lift was large enough to get our luggage into without several trips. The breakfast was great. The concierge was attentive to our needs. It was really clean and beautiful. The lodge is a couple of blocks from downtown Killarney. There were convenience stores nearby. It did not have a laundry but did have a drop-off service that you could utilize. There were washing machines and dryers within walking distance to do your own laundry.I would stay here again.
