Bilit Rainforest Lodge

There is plenty of authentic food served for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We spent two nights here at the lodge as part of a Trip A Deal Tour. However, the lodge is in need of some TLC. Staff are all friendly. Personally I would not recommend staying at the lodge.

A wonderful 2 nights in the midst of the rainforest with 4 brilliant river cruises on which we saw all of the Kinabatangan Big 5 plus many others - such a treat. How the guides spotted some of the wildlife is incredible. If you want to be off the grid and experience the wildlife, I thoroughly recommend this lodge. The staff are all very friendly, the buffet food is tasty and plentiful, the rooms are huge and have air conditioning and plentiful hot water. The Lodge rents out good binoculars, cheaply. The bar takes cards, but you need cash to pay your room tax, to hire binoculars, and for any additional cruises. Note, other than the air con and hot water, the accommodation is pretty basic, but you wouldn't expect anything else in such a remote location.

Loved staying here - right up my street! Amazing place with amazing staff. Wish I could stay longer than 2 nights - think 4 would have been better. Loved the rooms and river safari’s and slept so well with the jungle noises surrounding the lodges.

Die Anlage ist in die Jahre gekommen und es wird wenig erneuert. Die Zimmer sind groß, aber das Bad nicht gerade hygienisch. Ok man ist im Urwald, aber es geht auch anders. Positiv zu bewerten ist das Essen und das Frühstück. Es gab ein großes Buffet mit Live-Cooking. Zum Frühstück gab es frische Eierspeisen. Die Bootsausflüge waren ebenfalls gut organisiert und wir haben einige Tiere gesehen.

Fabulous two days here. Good accommodation, great food and (apart from one time when our boat's engine failed) we had terrific boat safaris with great views of the pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys other wild-life and bird-life. A beaut little jungle jaunt.

Die Flusssafaris waren sehr schön. Der Guide und der Bootsfahrer gaben sich viel Mühe. Auch das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Es gab u.a. frisch zubereitete Omletten und Spiegeleier zum Frühstück und Früchte. WLAN ist nur im Restaurant verfügbar und man musste es bezahlen. Die Zimmer sind sehr gross und okay. Das Bad und das WC sind total veraltet, braun und verschmutzt. Die Anlage ist in die Jahre gekommen und einiges sollte erneuert werden (morsche Stege) Müll liegt rum und alles erscheint sehr ungepflegt. In der Umgebung hat es mittlerweile schönere Unterkünfte die wir bevorzugen würden.
