Kinloch Wilderness Retreat

No chance to contact. Didn’t stay there. Location is misleading

超級喜歡的地方！可以安排在Glenorchy結束後入住，前方就是湖景，設施也很完整，背包客或者家庭入住都ok! 附設的自煮廚房很大，他們的餐廳也超級用心，進去很舒服、食物好吃、人員很有愛🥰

Our unexpected adventure turned into a memorable experience thanks to the amazing team at Kinloch Wilderness Retreat. After being trapped by a fallen tree and forced to abandon our car, we arrived on foot just as another storm hit—only to find the lodge cut off on both sides by more fallen trees and flooding. Despite the chaos, the staff welcomed us warmly, quickly found us clean, cosy, and comfortable rooms, and provided a delicious dinner. They kept us informed throughout, and by 11am the next morning, both trees were cleared and we were able to continue our journey. The rooms, facilities, and stunning location were fantastic—even under such stressful circumstances. I would happily return again, hopefully in better weather!

Beautiful views, great hosts, cute accommodation, big kitchen, lovely hot tub. We all enjoyed our time here. Used as accommodation before we did routeburn track. Stunning view from the hot tub of the mountains and lake. Would recommend to others.

We stayed one night in a triple room with shared facilities. The room overlooked the lake and was very sunny in the morning. It was thoughtfully appointed with a bedside lamp each, a hot water bottle, small heater and a torch each. It was nicely decorated, the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen and living / dining area were excellent for the number of people using them. The kitchen especially was clean and has everything you need to cook. We would definitely come back again and stay longer. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the dinner looked delicious. There is a lot happening there and the access to tracks is excellent.

We had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing two nights in one of the eco escapes at Kinloch Lodge. The food was delicious, the views incredible and the staff nothing but delightful and friendly. This will be a memorable part of our trip to New Zealand.
