The little hotel is a sweet, bustling, busy place in the forest with easy access to trails, perfectly located. The room I was in (#2) had a lovely light, view and feel. Pros: -pleasant restaurant staff -decent food and breakfast -freshly renovated rooms that were very comfortable and functional -comfortable beds -easy trail access to main viewpoints -on the bus route / heritage tram line -outdoor beer garden -the park and trails are adventurous, magical. The scenery is stunning. Cons: -no internet despite confirming less than 24 hrs earlier that they had great internet that I could use for working on my laptop with -the manager didn’t even apologize for the lack of internet. I was expected to use the city Sebnitz hotspot which doesn’t work in most of the building. The lack of apology or discount or anything was unprofessional. -I personally found the stuffed taxidermy wildlife in the restaurant distasteful. I understand this is the style of the area and common - but I didn’t like eating under a dead squirrel for example. -I found the area around the hotel to occasionally have right-extremist people partying in the national park as evidenced by their clothing and music lyrics. As a visible minority and alone, this was worrisome.
