Come and relax with breathtaking views of Maquoit Bay! This little cottage is perfect whether your looking for an adults weekend away to unwind or a kid friendly space to escape to. With 2 queen beds and 1 king bed, this lovely property also offers a bunk bed in a common area to sleep little ones. Enjoy the convenience of a washer/dryer, outdoor fire pit, Weber gas grill, two indoor working fireplaces and WiFi during your stay. The 2 bathrooms feature a shower and bathtub for your comfort. Open the window and listen to the water at night or drive a short 10 minutes into town to hit the local shops and restaurants. Property has direct access to a small private beach, including two sea kayaks and two adult bikes. We are very close to Rte 1, and within walking distance to restaurants, breweries and Shaw's Grocery Store, Dunkin' Donuts. We are in a neighborhood close to other Condo's. So much to do in Maine and we are centrally located for visits to LL Bean, Wilbur's of Maine Chocolate Confections, Harrington House, Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park, Desert of Maine, Eartha, and so much more. This Korean-inspired shed-style cabin is 21’x15’ with dramatic 18’ ceilings, a queen bed with giant windows overlooking the woods, a full bathroom (toilet, sink, and a stupidly luxurious shower), a sleeper sofa with (an actually comfortable) queen foam mattress, a seating area nook with built-in cushioned benches and live edge table perfect for a game of cards or working on your laptop (don’t do it!), and a small kitchenette (sink, granite countertop, electric hot top, mini refrigerator, dishes, silverware, basics for cooking, kettle, etc.). This cabin comes supplied with linens (sheets, down comforter, towels for four, and pillows), linens for the sleeper sofa (sheets, pillows, and blankets), and two sleeping pads and pillows if you have additional guests (i.e. kids) sleeping on the floor. The cabin also has an outdoor seating area with four Adirondack chairs, a fire ring (w/ integrated grill), a small picnic table, and bistro lights that make for a magical outdoor experience. The cabin is located in the recently renovated campground at the the property manager, an iconic tourist attraction established in 1926. The campground is small, quiet, and serene, surrounded by tall northern pines at the edge of the Desert’s rolling sand dunes which were deposited there at the end of the last ice age. The tourist attraction includes fascinating exhibits about the history, ecology, geology of the Desert, activities for kids, a train ride, mini golf, and much more.
