Andalay Beach Resort Koh Libong

We loved this place. The staff, the location, the rooms. Clean, impeccable, great food, great activities. The hotel has charm and modern amenities. The kids really liked it but note the front infinity pool kids can’t use but that didn’t bother us. The only issue which isn’t the hotels as such is the very loud 5am call to prayer from the mosque. If you’re sensitive to noise being ear plugs.

Wir waren Mitte Dezember als Paar 4 Nächte im Rahmen einer Rundreise und Inselhoppingtour im Andalay. Das Resort ist super aufgeräumt, es werden jeden Tag heruntergefallene Palmenblätter aufgesammelt :-), das Frühstück sehr sehr lecker (die Mango - ein Traum! Das Essen im Restaurant wirklich großartig! Die Cocktails ebenso! Natürlich ist es nicht ganz so preiswert wie vielleicht irgendwo auf dem Festland - aber das Ambiente und das Frische machen es das wert! Wir haben ausschließlich Thailändisch gegessen - dafür sind wir hier und können nicht beurteilen, wie Burger oder Pizza hier schmecken - das will ich hier aber auch nicht essen. Wein ist in Thailand überall teuer - da ist das Andalay keine Ausnahme. Daher dann doch auf andere Getränke ausweichen. Die Cocktails waren super! Die Bungalows (wir hatten einen Beach Front Bungalow) sind sehr edel eingerichtet in komplett dunklem Holz. Das Resort weitläufig und sehr gut gepflegt, angepflanzt etc. Außerhalb des Resort sieht es wie häufig in Thailand dann nicht mehr so aufgeräumt aus. Das Team im gesamten Resort ist ausnahmslos sehr freundlich und bemüht. Dass nicht auf Anhieb jeder Satz verstanden wird, sollte im Urlaub meines Erachtens in Ordnung sein. Viele wiederholen die Bestellung, wie sie es verstanden haben, dann kann man immer noch korrigieren. Ich würde das Resort jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

Finished our 3 stay 3 weeks ago. Andalay is thankfully still the same as when we first came there back in 2021. Rooms and surroundings have been kept very much up to date. It all stands as brand new. The hotel closes for 3-4 month during the rainy season which is when they do most of the maintenance. Staff… well Nee is still very much the the go-to person on the hotel. However it’s unfair to the other staff not mentioning them. They are all very eager to assist the guests. Auf and Tina were those who usually waited on us during dinner. Outstanding service throughout our stay. As stated in a previous reviews, it is obvious the the Thai owners of the hotel, must be an awesome employer. The employees throughout the hotel, it being the people taking care of the gardens or waiters, all smiles at you when seeing you. Also in between the employees the atmosphere seems very relaxed. Two rooms have been added since we last came here. Very stylish and keeping the rooms very discrete from the vegetation. Looking forward to our next stay in 2026 Will return again in 2026.

Best stay of our trip so far. I’m blown away by just how lovely all the staff are, they go out of their way to make sure you are happy on your holiday. The resort is lovely, so clean and tidy. Nee, Bo, Tina, plus all the other countless staff are all amazing. Oriental Beach Villa was lovely, so clean and comfortable. We were lucky to be there for NYE and joined in with the party which the staff had organised, great fun and lovely atmosphere. The next day was my partners special birthday and Nee and the team totally spoilt us. Can’t wait to go back and was very sad to leave. A total slice of paradise.

Vi tilbragte 4 fantastiske nætter på denne lille perle! Ved ankomst blev vi mødt af kolde velkomstdrinks og kolde håndklæder, hvilket vi satte stor pris på. Allerede ved vores ankomst, kunne man fornemme hvilket niveau af autenticitet og oprigtige imødekommenhed, som vores ophold ville bære præg af. Vi følte os i den grad velkommen, og vi har allerede besluttes os for, at her skal vi tilbage til. Alle omgivelserne er velplejede, og man føler at man bor i en lille oase i junglen. Værelset vi boede i var P01, og det var et rigtig fint og velholdt værelse. Udsmykningen af træ gør værelset helt specielt, og der var alt hvad vi havde brug for. Restauranten serverede alle måltider. Morgenmaden var fantastisk, ja faktisk den bedste bi har fået indtil videre på vores rundrejse. Der var en station med æg, en station med thai pandekager, frugt i alle afskygninger, thai retter, brød, og kage. Her kan alle finde noget velsmagende! Frokost og aftensmad var fra menukort, og alt vi fik smagte fantastisk! Og priserne var meget fair! Poolen og stranden var indbydende, og den eneste lille klage vi har, er at vandet i begge pool var lidt grumset, men ikke noget der ødelagde vores helhedsoplevelse. Vi har haft et fantastisk ophold, og vi kommer helt sikkert tilbage! Vi håber bare autenciteten bibeholdes, og at der ikke er for mange andre, der opdager denne lille perle 😊 ——————————————————————- We spent 4 fantastic nights at this little gem! Upon arrival we were greeted with cold welcome drinks and cold towels, which we really appreciated. Already upon our arrival, you could sense the level of authenticity and genuine hospitality that our stay would be characterized by. We felt so welcome, and we have already decided that we will return here. All the surroundings are well-kept, and you feel like you are living in a small oasis in the jungle. The room we stayed in was P01, and it was a really nice and well-kept room. The wooden decoration makes the room very special, and there was everything we needed. The restaurant served all meals. The breakfast was fantastic, in fact the best I have had so far on our trip. There was a station with eggs, a station with Thai pancakes, fruit in all its forms, Thai dishes, bread, and cake. Here everyone can find something tasty! Lunch and dinner were from the menu, and everything we had tasted amazing! And the prices were very fair! The pool and beach were inviting, and the only small complaint we have is that the water in both pools was a little cloudy, but nothing that ruined our overall experience. We had a fantastic stay, and we will definitely be back! We just hope the authenticity is maintained, and that not too many others discover this little gem 😊

I am very happy with my stay. Love that it's so green with all the bushes, flowers and trees. It is very cozy and feels a bit like living in the Jungle. Thanks to all the plants, you get to see lots of animals such as birds, butterflies, lizards, squirrels etc. Nice! The beach is just below where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets every evening. If i could wish for something to make Andalay Beach resort even better, it would be a conversion to an ECO friendly hotel. Remove all disposable items in the toilet and all plastic such as straws and plastic forks. For an example, you can use bamboostraws and toothpicks instead. Plastic on the beach is a big problem. It is because of the beautiful beach, tourists come to visit. Maybe all resorts together can have a garbage collector's day once a week? Or come up with your own innovative solutions. But overall, fantastic accommodation and staff. The food in the restaurant is superb. A suggestion is also to make one of the pools into an adult only area.
