Really nice cabins directly to the beach with the best Staff ever. Liked everyone there and felt really welcome as a Lone traveller. Would always book it again too. ++ You have a Open Restaurant with good WiFi, so good for working!

Very comfortable villas, clean, comfortable and have everything you need.
Large windows, lots of light, there is a nice veranda for sitting, spacious.
The first line has its own beach. There are cafes and restaurants, shops, a lively street nearby - all the action is nearby.

Very good location. Nice staff. But the rooms are terribly old and small. The mattress is incredibly hard. After three nights they were like old ruins. Everything hurt.

Отличный отель по соотношению цена-качество!!! Просто даже превзошёл наши ожидания:)
Симпатичные домики с большими террасами (со светом, креслами, столиком, переносной раздвижной сушилкой, + натянуты верёвки на них тоже сушить можно, 2 зонтика). Внутри ооооочень все продумано, комфортно: шкаф с вешалками, стол, зеркало, много розеток, в т.ч.у кровати, тумбочки, светильники, холодильник, чайник, фен, кондиционер (но дует на 1спальную кровать), вентилятор (с ним комфортно нежарко). На окнах москитки (без дырок!!!), шторы. В ванной гель, шампунь, туалетная бумага, мыло. Уборка лёгкая каждый день (воду в бутылках приносят, смена полотенец, мусор выкидывают).
Отличный бассейн (небольшой и неглубокий - для ребёнка вообще идеально, взрослым тоже подходит), вечером с подсветкой. Есть свой ресторан (не ходили - оценить не могу).
Море в 2х шагах (причём лучшая часть пляжа!), лежаки в естественной тени деревьев. Спать тихо, никакая музыка под ухом не гремит!!! Вообще месторасположение просто отличное - несколько 7/11 рядом, до ночного рынка у речки (с варанами) 5 минут пешком, до Лотуса минут 10-15 мин (там на,фудкорте кстати тоже очень бюджетно и вкусно можно поесть), рядом кафешка где свежих морских гадов готовят (креветки, лобстер, рыба), до франц.пекарни тоже минут за 12 дойти можно. У выхода из отеля постоянно таксисты тусуются, по этой же дороге сонгтео пооезжают - очень удобно!
В общем мы в,восторге остались от Утопии!! 10 из 10 однозначно! За такую цену лучше не найти!

Basic beach resort in an excellent position in Lamai. Close to the street market and shops, restaurant's and bars. The resort is a little tired, but the rooms in the new building are better and more modern. The double pool view room was large with a comfy bed and we even had a smart TV to watch Netflix on the nights we stayed in. The reception is very old and run down, and the restaurant needs an upgrade. The cleaning was not up to standard, unfortunately, so that really let this place down. The sunbeds are all squashed in together on the beach, and there's constant loud music from a beach club next door. There's a small pool which is a bonus and the staff were very friendly. It's a cheap and cheerful place, however the cleaning needs to be improved. The plus point is it's location and the price.

We have been there for the fifth time over Xmas/New Year 2024/5. The whole ressort can be summarized under one titej: Home away from home! This family run place offers nice bungalows in a sceenic surrounding to a fair price. Included is a heartly friendly service, nice relaxed people (even amongst most of the customers from all over the world) and a location from which you can reach all the marvelous restaurants and bars in Lamai within 5 minutes. It has the laid back thai atmosphere, which I fell in love with while backpacking in the beginning of the 1990s. Each time I leave the Utopia, I have a little tear in my eyes. It is sooo beautifull there and all the people working there (for ages, which does mean something in those changeble times) are such sweethearts. If God allows me, we definitely will be back soon! Thank you all for such wonderfull 3 weeks. We love you!!! 🐺 PS: You might have read in previous posts, that the sanitary venues in some bungalows definitely need renovation. This is correct (and will be done soon, so I have been told). It has the charme of the 1990s. Fine with me, but if you are looking for a posch upscale place to stay, Utopia is not your thing. If you are looking for a relaxed, friendly and just lovely place, it is! Pls book early, cause they are usually packed. It must not just be me, who loves this place. 🐺

If you have ever dreamed of staying in a cottage at the beach, this is the place for you! It isn’t new, but so charming! The cottage we stayed in was just steps from the beach. We could make a cup of coffee and have that first sip as we watched the waves roll in. At night, we loved sitting on our porch with a refreshment. The resort is within walking distance of the fabulous night market where it is easy to find something new to try for supper every night.
