Perfect for our stay. Close to the main area but a bit back so lovely and quiet. Nice big room, plenty of seating. Nice pool, sometimes had a dive school but they only used one half of the pool leaving the other half. Staff very friendly. Not 5* but it's not 5* prices, great value for Koh Tao. We stayed 12 nights and were very happy.

We have visited Koh Tao many times and have stayed at Pranee Amata for the last 7 visits as we have found it to be the most convenient hotel for Sarrie beach, as its quieter than the ones that are on the beach but still close to the action, they have their own swimming pool which is lovely, the rooms are cleaned daily, the staff are helpful and friendly, a very good for value hotel.

Fine og meget rene værelser. Rigtigt fint hotel til prisen og personalet var søde og hjælpsomme. Poolområdet er trist og bruges af dykkere. Poolbaren er aldrig åben. Ingen elevator, men personalet hjælper som altid med bagage.

Sleep impossible due to thin walls, noise from nearby boxing stadium, and creaky aircon that turns off and on at random during night. Also cleanliness left alot to be desired, left after 2 nights for a different hotel which was cheaper yet much better quality.

Amazing staff !!
Staff made this place worth it. Very kind and so helpful. They arranged the scooter from the hotel for us. We had a 7am ferry and with the front desk having limited hours it was not a problem, someone was able to help us check out and return our scooter at 6am. Although I recommend arranging those things the night before if you need to leave early. Central location, quiet away from the noise. Beds were hard but everything else amazing

disappointing! We stayed at the Pranee Amata and were extremely disappointed. Despite the convenient location, the numerous drawbacks outweigh the few advantages. Negative points: Dishonesty: The hotel owners charged us a higher fee for laundry services than originally stated. Poor customer service: The service was unacceptable, unpleasant and unhelpful. Pool closed early: The pool closed at 7:00 PM without any prior notice, which prevented us from enjoying it in the evening. Cleanliness: The level of cleanliness in the hotel was poor. Positive points: Convenient location. In conclusion, we do not recommend the Pranee Amata and regret wasting our time and money at this place

Good family run hotel. Have stayed on Koh Tao several times including other hotels. We have stayed at Pranee Amata 5 times now and would highly recommend. Will always choose this hotel.
All staff are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

What makes this hotel stand out is the staff! After staying at many hotels in Thailand, this one stands out for an accommodating , friendly & memorable experience. I had stayed in a few around Sairee, this was in a perfect place where it was quiet but still a short 2 minute walk from the main area. Just a tip, if you are using taxis in Koh Tao, book with reception here - they offer the best price (by 100s of baht) with a wonderful driver.

When we arrived the owner we had booked a room for 2 adults 2 kid that according to agoda had space enough. There was no understaning from pranee and they claimed that the hotel couldnt be booked through agoda (!!!). The hotel is advertised as family friendly - but has no cot (that could have solved the problem. Hotel then Said we could pay over double price for larger room. We then agreed to cancel booking. This was the worst part. Room was booked non refundable- and the hotel kept saying i had to cancel myself. I had to spend 3 visits and several conversations where pranee kept several Lise. I Think they wanted to stall process and take my Money. In the end i had to sit in their systems to figure out myself what to do. Such a bad experience and staff at pranee

Have stayed at this hotel on several occasions before, each stay has been more disappointing than the last, the
pool bar is never open, so should not be advertised anymore, the pool is used everyday by dive schools doing scuba lessons, dogs barking all night. Don't think we will use this hotel again.

Recently Stayed here at Pranee Amata Hotel for almost 1 week whilst travelling round Thailand , read mixed reviews online but decided to book, through “***********” app as looked alright in the pictures. I arrived at the hotel and checked in at reception, staff seemed very pleasant but hotel was very quiet, was shown to my room 415, which was not in the main hotel block, but a short walk from the hotel in a separate block overlooking the hotel. The entrance to the block was dirty, messy and was guarded by two dogs who were not always friendly, especially of an evening. Room was very basic, TV didn’t have a signal and shower was cold most days but the room did come with Air Con and private balcony. Second day here I walked to the pool to find it shut, all doors leading to the pool were padlocked, so I went to reception and asked if the pool would be open for the upcoming days of my stay, but was told it would remain shut until the hotel had more guests, to warrant opening it. Breakfast was included with my stay, but unfortunately most mornings I could not find anyone or any food available in the hotel. The cafe advertised by reception was always shut. I did ask at reception, to be told that they did not have enough staff to open it and the hotel only had a 14% occupancy, so would remain closed. Hotel staff did manage to clean my room and leave me fresh towels and bedding, so at least this was something. But quite honestly, this hotel seems to be suffering after the covid pandemic, with staff shortages and the owners trying to cut costs where they are able to. I eventually cut my trip short on Koh Tao and checked out early. This hotel is not as described in my opinion, but if your looking for a budget stay, then this would be ideal. Ended up moving across the road to “Sairee Hut” and this was a much better standard with breakfast and a pool that was always open lol
