Aphrodite Hills Hotel

Ok hotel. My first time staying in an 5 star hotel, so for us it was a lot of money. I’m not sure what is so different about it. Other than slippers and a gown. There’s stains on carpets, cocktails were not always the best. My favourite cocktail mojito tasted horrible here. The hotel is so far from everything. If you’re on a budget like we were then I don’t recommend staying here. It costs €40-55 one way to the town in a taxi, but you can get the bus which doesn’t come regularly. If I were to stay here again I would definitely rent a car for excursions. The shops on site were so expensive. €75 for bikini pants and too flabbergasted to look at anything else. Housekeeping weren’t very good at cleaning the room. It’s all good making things look tidy, but not once was anything wiped down, mirror cleaned, or floor mopped. (I had to call reception and ask for the room to be cleaned ) I’ve worked in housekeeping before and surely cleaning the room everyday makes the room easier to clean the next day. Aside from the negatives, staff were amazing. Whatever you needed they would make sure it was done straight away. Our girl went to baby club and it was the first time being away from me in a nursery setting. But when we would see the girls from baby club around the hotel my little one would become so happy and wave, which made me feel comfortable to leave her with them.

This place is NOT a 5 Star. They ultimately rely on wedding parties. We were there 8 nights and there was a wedding almost everyday. Which in turn meant large wedding party in tow, all grouped together on the sunbeds. The rooms are shabby, dated and rundown. Absolutely NOT what you would expect from a 5 star resort. Carpets are all stained with either bleach or white paint not sure which. The rooftop cocktail bar has a nice vibe in the evening but there are so many birds (due to all the snacks) that all the chairs are covered in bird mess and nobody seems to be cleaning them down. Mexican outdoor restaurant has a nice feel and the food was average except we had hair in our food!!! Fig and Olive is dire … food was average at best and the staff weren’t interested in us because they were too busy with the numerous wedding parties. Jasmine was lovely, food was exceptional and the staff were really great. Buffet … absolutely dreadful. The food choices were so poor. Luke warm cottage pie, stale sushi, everything was cold looked like it had been sat for hours and was NOT of 5 star quality. In fact my partner and I were both unwell the first night. We didn’t eat there again.

Such an incredible hotel - I honestly cannot recommend more for children. Splash pool, kids entertainment baby/kids club (which we used just once but the staff are incredible - you can also stay if you wish). And the spa is just divine. I had the best facial I have ever had from Dil, God bless her.

We just got back from 10 days at Aphrodite hills and we had such a lovely family holiday! The resort itself is beautiful, the staff are all so lovely & friendly and everything you need is on site! We didn’t leave the resort once as didn’t feel the need to with the shopping village located on site! We went with our 22 month old and the entertainment staff & crèche staff were amazing, we couldn’t have asked for more and he really enjoyed himself! We put him in the crèche a few times during our stay and he didn’t want to leave when we came to pick him up! On our last day the staff also had put together a little folder full of his artwork they’d done with him whilst there ♥️ a big shoutout to the crèche team Hannah, Paulina & Isobel! We stayed in a family suite with a jacuzzi on the balcony & it was incredible! The suite was so spacious, big balcony & housekeeping did a great job everyday making sure the place was pristine! The main buffet has lots of options every night so there was always something you would eat but our favourite by far was the Mexican restaurant 😍 food was divine and the staff were so so welcoming & friendly, especially with our little one making him laugh & chatting to him. This resort is absolutely perfect for families and I would recommend it to any of our friends.

We stayed for 11 nights as a family and had a fantastic time. The first week was busy around the pool due to easter holidays (plenty of loungers reserved early) and complete contrast to the following week which was quiet around the pool (about 20% loungers occupied). The weather was great and the pool areas are extremely clean and safe, they are set within landscaped grounds. Our daughter loved being able to walk between the main pool and the indoor pool. We found the main pool temperature fine, a little chilly but didn’t bother us. The big plus for this hotel are the staff, all are extremely friendly and hard working, we enjoyed talking to the lady who serves drinks around the pool. We thought the food was high quality and enjoyed the Jasmine restaurant and Fig & Olive. We had no problem reserving a table using the app. Would be better if they served coffee not from a machine at breakfast. We rented a car from the local car hire office Leo’s. The car was nearly new and great to enable us to visit the wider area, we would recommend Omodos Village, Lady’s mile Beach and a stroll along Papjos harbour. You can access a lovely pebbly beach from the resort but its down a hill and quite a hike back in the hot weather so would recommend jumping in the car to reach the small car park at the picnic site. In summary a fantastic holiday and look forward to returning.

Most of the restaurant staff were super friendly and helpful, though a couple came off as a bit rude. The food and drinks were absolutely fantastic at every spot ,we especially loved the Mexican place for lunch, but the other restaurants we hit for dinner were really solid too. The only issue was at the buffet restaurant during dinner. There was no one around to clear plates or take drink orders, which was a bummer. Huge shoutout to Suneel, he was showing up at every dinner spot we went to. He brought our drinks, cleared plates, and always checked in with a polite tone and a smile to make sure we were good. The one night he wasn’t at the buffet, our drinks took 20 minutes to arrive, and the plates just piled up. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’re definitely looking forward to coming back soon!
