Unfortunately, our experience here was anything but good. We had checked reviews long before our trip, and everything looked great in the pictures. When we arrived, the area (around the pool and the surrounding greenery) was cozy and beautiful, just like in the photos. However, the pool and the pool chairs were old and in need of an upgrade, but considering the price, that wasn’t a big issue. We had booked a “Superior Bungalow,” of which there were four. In the pictures, it looked like a “regular” bungalow standing independently. What we actually got was a shock. Our bungalow was attached to an outdoor kitchen, meaning our patio was essentially part of the outdoor kitchen. If we had sat outside to have a drink, we would have been sitting directly in the kitchen. I immediately complained about this upon arrival, to which we were told that the kitchen was not in use (although there were clean dishes there, making me wonder how long they had been sitting there). The room itself looked somewhat similar to the pictures, except that the entire bungalow’s floor was significantly slanted. We tested this by placing a water bottle down, which immediately rolled to the side. The furnishings were simple, and from what we could see, the room was clean. However, one major issue was the air conditioning, which did not work properly at all—it desperately needed an upgrade. The extreme heat in the room could be explained by the fact that our outdoor kitchen was covered with a roof, turning our bungalow into a sauna. For me, the worst part is that when you visit their website, you can click on the different room types, and the pictures of our bungalow were misleading—the patio picture was actually taken from one of the other bungalows. Standing in our room, which was supposed to be our “home” for this nice vacation, we had two bedroom windows facing directly into an outdoor kitchen instead of towards the pool like the others. However, I want to emphasize that this review only applies to the “Dhalia” room, and I have no idea what the other rooms look like. I also want to acknowledge that the friendly receptionist offered to move us to a different room the next day. However, for us, it was just too much—a room inside an outdoor kitchen, a literal sauna, and the fact that they had the audacity to charge the same price for this room as the others. A completely subjective opinion is that they also didn’t serve any alcohol—I personally like to have a beer or a cocktail by the pool on my vacation (though this is on me for not checking before booking). In summary, the receptionist was service-minded and friendly and probably did the best she could, even though I would have appreciated some form of compensation. In the end, we quickly booked another hotel to avoid ruining our vacation. My advice to the hotel is to use accurate pictures for this room and charge half the price for guests who might not care as much about the room itself. However, misleading marketing and
