Nice little place. Great location Staff pleasant Only had breakfast one morning, not a lot available as most dishes were empty and not replenished such as eggs

Beautiful cosy hotel with clean rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. The location is pretty and quiet on a small street. The breakfast was of course not as diverse as in some big hotel, but there was everything you needed - different sorts of bread, yogurt, fresh fruit/veggies, cheeses/hams, eggs, bacon etc. And something for the sweettooth also. A few negative things: at least in the evening it was pretty hard to get hot water from the shower/faucet. That was annoying. And the humming sound from the minibar was slighty disturbing, but fortunately we had earplugs to cover the small noise. There was no proper trashbin, only a small one with lid in the bathroom. During our 3-night stay we learned that our flights were cancelled and we needed to stay in Krakow one extra night. We asked the hotel and they only had their more expensive deluxe-room available. The hotel manager didn’t want to give any discount on the price even though it was pretty clear that the room would stay vacant for that particular night (hence no profit from it!) anyways. The hotel manager would have showed great business sense by offering a small discount to keep us guests for another night, but of course we respect his/her policies. For us it unfortunately left a slight sour aftertaste of how they handled our check-out. Still I guess we would go there again, because all in all it was a lovely stay and Kazimierz is such a wonderful area!

I have been to this hotel many times over the years for food and drinks and it was always enjoyable and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately last year and into this year 2025 it seems to have lost popularity. I know it’s still early in the season but I think it may have something to do with the Klesma band. Their music is good but my goodness they are miserable. You MIGHT get a half smile if you buy a cd off them

Its a difficult one to write. I read the good reviews and the bad ones, both of which are correct, so I don't want to put anyone off, based on my personal opinion, so here goes. Location is excellent, reception staff seemed ok, TBH, I did not really communicate with them as I did not need too and they did not communicate with me. Happily stored my bags, etc. Room comfortable, clean, excellent shower, would have liked a bath as well. Room made up and refreshed each day. Did have to pay for the milk out of the mini bar for your tea and coffee, but about a quid that's all, for a pint. Take your own tea and coffee, if you like your particular brew. Outside the hotel there was a good selection of restaurants with outside covered heating, which were ok for the money, quite good actually, with some music. In fact I have no idea how Poland make any money from coffee shops and cafes, etc, because they are absolutely everywhere!!! Old town about a 20 minute easy walk. Ok then the breakfast, absolute rubbish for me. Continental selection average, coffee out of a machine, worse thing ever first thing in the morning and juices I think were just squash. Hot food awful, if you want anything other than the undercooked scrambled eggs, i.e. fried or poached you have to pay extra. Baked beans on the two times I went down, were the dregs and dried up. I mentioned it to the under enthusiastic waitress, who by the time she bought out some fresh, I had finished. She must know that they have come to an end!!! The bacon basically should come with a defib, it was all fat and grease. The sausages were the frankfurter type which I quite like, and finally some cold ratatouille. I only ate there twice and decided to go up the street to one of the outside covered restaurants a little further up. Would I stay again? difficult one, I would need to consider how much I could get it for, as I probably paid too much for what it was, by booking through an airline, as I was pushed for time. At the correct price, yea I would, but equally I am in the fortunate position that I could afford more and would probably go to a recognised 4 or 5 star in the old town. Don't let my review put you off, because the hotel was ok for the right price, its just the breakfast that was grim and to be honest you can eat out really cheaply. In fact I prefer to book a hotel without breakfast and savour different restaurants outside the hotel. Your on holidays after all!!! My daughter booked it for us, as she had stayed there before, so she must have been happy with it. Location, absolutely first class, you wont beat it.

Me and my husband stayed here for 3 nights (15th,16th and 17th) and it was a lovely little hotel! Check in was very quick and easy, we stayed in room 38, very out of the way. We got a bolt from the airport (cost around 36.80 zloty which is around £7!) and it was around 20/30 minute drive. We did have breakfast booked, it was lovely comforting food. Everything was hot and cooked through, plenty of drinks choice (Tea, coffee, water, orange and apple juice!) Every day our room got replenished with new towels and beds were made. The bath was lovely and clean too! Also loved how there was two different shower heads in there too! Hairdryer on the wall too! We had a mini fridge that had stock in it too, we didn't take anything from it, but the prices of everything was so reasonable too! It's around a 15 minute walk into the old town, there is a shop quite literally a 3 minute walk away from the hotel too. Also there is a lovely little market which is about a five minute walk from the hotel too and at night time they have a street food market on until 2am most nights. Sells lots of kebabs, perogies, hot dogs, kumpir. So plenty of choices, and even if they don't take your fancy the market is surrounded by plenty of restaurants too! Thank you Hotel Ester!
