Hotel Mira Mare

Am Ende einer sehr steilen Auffahrt bekundet sich dieses Hotel. Wie wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, Zimmer völlig in Ordnung, ein wenig hellhörig aber sonst ok. Highlight ist die Dachterrasse samt Bar / Frühstücksarea mit tollem Blick auf den Paradise Beach und Ksamil. Herzliche Gastgeber.

Hotel staff are really friendly and helpful. Hotel is easy to find as there are plenty of signs in Ksamil to direct you. Hotel is situated about 200metres from the beach on top of a steep hill, about 50metres at 20 degrees gradient - there are steps when walking up and down. The hotel has a roof top terrace with good views of the sea. This is where the buffet breakfast is served. There is a good selection of food, cereals, eggs, fruit, juices, and local dishes. You are entitled to 1 proper coffee after that you have to pay for additional coffees unless you have the filter coffee from the Urn (which is not that nice). In the afternoon / evening there is a bar serving coffee, soft drinks, beer, white wine and some spirits (no cocktails). You can have dinner there at €15 per person but we never saw a menu so I am not sure how much they promote this. I think the roof terrace would benefit from a happy hour and a couple of cocktail options. The room we had was clean and cleaned every day. Shower curtain is not that effective so you get a lot of water on the bathroom (small) floor. Our room had a fridge and a two ring electric hob for cooking. There are some pans but only a wooden spoon as acooking utensil, so virtually impossible to cook anything except pasta and pre made pasta sauce. Am sure most people don’t want to cook but as the hotel has invested in the electric hobs I think they should have a few sets of cooking utensils that guests can borrow. Our balcony had a washing line that is below the air conditioning unit and we woke up to find the clothes wet from dripping water from the air con. You can borrow towels and umbrellas from reception but the day we took an umbrella to the beach it was windy and wouldn’t stay in the sand. So overall we had a pleasant stay and nothing bad about the hotel but I think for a 4 star hotel it is 3.5 out of 5 for me.

Accueil exceptionnel. Notre séjour était en toute fin de saison et nous avons pu loger dans cet hotel à un bon prix. Le patron nous a accueilli avec un verre sur la terrasse panoramique de l’hotel. Tres belle vue sur la plage toute proche. Chambres agréables avec terrasse. Super buffet petit dej sur le beau rooftop. Quartier en mutation et travaux a proximité.
