Getting There - 2hrs drive from Kochi airport. The hotel arranged for a transfer taxi. 5,000/- one way.
Arrival- Welcomed with chandan tika, welcome drink, cold towel and a big smile by the staff.
Room- Got it early then the checkin time. Rooms are big, well lit with good views. But they need a lot of maintenance and refurbishment.
Hotel- Green, peaceful, clean.
Food & Restaurants - Only 1 restaurant with limited menu. But everything we ordered was delicious and good in portion size.

An excellent stay. I went to celebrate my birthday with my family and we had a memorable stay. Special thanx to the chef Arun for making our stay comfortable. Since my booking Arun was in continuous touch.. And believe me.. He left no stone unturned to ensure that we have a fantastic stay. He upgraded our room and also did a nice decoration for the special occasion. The rooms are very spacious and completely surrounded by trees. Bathroom is next level and very spacious with open and close shower ***** with bathtub. The highlight was plunge pool with a view of lake. Also the reception staff was very courteous and helpful. I also liked the concept of niraamaya Resort where in they focus on guests relaxation and comfortable stay. The entire staff was very well trained and kudos to team niraamaya for training them well. If you are looking for luxury stay and premium service and budget is not a constrained I strongly recommend niraamaya.

We had a mixed experience at Niramayya Retreats Kumarakom, starting with some miscommunication from the corporate sales booking team. However, upon arrival, the resort's lush green surroundings and warm hospitality instantly lifted our spirits. Despite the initial issues, the team went above and beyond to rectify them. The food was exceptional, thanks to Chef Arun and his team. Manager Sujeet Nair's approachable and solution-oriented attitude truly impressed us. The staff's attentiveness and prompt resolution of our concerns made our stay memorable. Overall, we'd highly recommend Niramayya Retreats Kumarakom for its beautiful grounds, delicious food, and exceptional hospitality. The team's dedication to making our stay special despite initial hiccups is commendable.

If you're looking for a peaceful getaway that immerses you in the natural beauty and culture of Kerala, this Kumarakom backwater property is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!! We went to celebrate a birthday, for which they surprised us with beautiful decor,lightning and a yummy cake ! The staff is very welcoming and polite. Vishnu and their team took a extra step ahead to make our stay even more memorable!!

The location of Niraamaya Retreats and Backwaters is definitely beautiful, right by the calm backwaters and surrounded by greenery. The ambiance is peaceful and relaxing, which is perfect for a short getaway. The rooms were comfortable and clean, though I felt they could have been a little better maintained considering the price. The staff were polite and helpful, but the service was sometimes a bit slow, especially during busy hours. The food was decent — some dishes were really good, but a few were a bit underwhelming for a place of this standard. The spa treatments were nice, but appointments were hard to get at times because of limited slots. Overall, it’s a good place if you’re looking for a peaceful experience, but there’s some room for improvement to make the stay truly exceptional.

Both Niramaaya Athirapally and Kumarakom venues were an absolute pleasant stay. I would like to highlight the plesant experience with both the Yoga Instructors Athul Krishnan and Anoop Kumar who conducted a rejuvenating Yoga sessions throughout our stay there. Their extensive experience and warm welcoming presence made both our stay a memorable one. Highly recommended for couples and groups or even individuals who are looking for an experience to unwind and relax yourselves!

Our stay in the Niraamaya Wellness Retreat ended up being a happy choice after a few strenuous days hiking in Periyar and Munnar. From the very first moment we were assisted and supported by a helpful team always willing to tend to our needs. We were allocated a spacious and comfortable villa nicely located close to the waterline which allowed to have a proper immersion into the natural environment of Alleppey backwaters. Being low season some of the amenities were at half gas but that did not stop us from enjoying all needed services including ready in room dining or a la carte restaurant catering for delicious Indian food with assistance from the staff, chef Arun preparing fresh fish. We wanted relaxation and uncomplicated wellness so it was great to be able to book immediate slots in the spa for our choice of ayurvedic treatment gently done by Shilpa perfectly combined with complementary yoga sessions mastered by Athul. We also made use of the pool, but we did find it a bit exposed and lacking shade and supporting facilities/equipment, something that can be improved. All in all it was a lovely stay, we will be surely be recommending it at home

The ambience and room I had at Niraamaya was very very peaceful, relaxing, and rejuvenating. I also was fortunate enough to get great yoga instruction from Athul Krishnan. He was very disciplined and on time always. He allowed me to learn a variety of different yoga maneuvers, breathing exercises and I felt like I was pampered. His voice was radiating and his demeanor was always personable. I highly recommend him as an outstanding yoga teacher. Ajaysh was my masseuse and he was extremely thorough, diligent and explained the variety of different oils and medicinal herbs that were utilized. He did an amazing job in also helping me clear up my sinuses. I highly recommend his as a masseuse. Dr. Anjali was great in giving medicinal advice as well. The kitchen staff and chef were amazing and provided excellent tasting and nutritious food. I felt very relaxed and was able to de-stress and had an amazing experience.
