The location is great as it is located near the Kunming Railway Station. The room is very spacious. The staff were also friendly. There's a 7-11 conveniently located just beside the hotel too. The down side for us was the soundproofing of the room as you could hear the noises from the corridor.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The location is perfect close to everything I needed and 8 minutes walk to Kunming Train Station. The room was very clean and well-maintained, which made my stay comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a convenient and pleasant place to stay!

As a Malaysian who travel frequently, I have very high expectations for hotel cleanliness and services. This is my second fabulous experience staying at Ramada Encore hotel (The first one was in Shanghai Pudong Airport). The hotel compound and rooms are free of any cigarette and funny smells. As soon as you walk in to the hotel, you’ll be welcomed by a pleasant fragrant smell. The towels, bed and pillows are almost comparable to international four/five-star hotel standard. The front desk lady was nice and friendly. I hope the Ramada Encore will keep up their standards on cleanliness and friendly service. The location is convenient, not too far to travel to many tourist spots. It is relatively quiet at late night.

The check-in went far from smooth, staff was very inflexible (they wouldn't allow my girlfriend to check in using her passport, while this was fine in every other hotel in China). They also required a deposit for the non-smoking room which no other hotel so far has asked for. The elevator was very dirty and damaged (see picture) and made the hotel feel sketchy. The room however was perfect, spacious and clean. I booked this room because it was close to the train station and it was sufficient for that but I wouldn't stay here for the area besides that.

Very helpful and lovely reception desk which made me feel welcomed immediately. As it was low season, they upgraded our rooms to a larger one. Thank you. Location wise, they are located within a cluster of other buildings and hotels. Unlike conventional hotel, they do not have their own driveway unfortunately and the main road in front of the hotel (Youping road) isn't ideal for dropping people off nor allowed cars to hang around. That means our car had to alight us about 5 mins away and we were left to fend for ourselves navigating the area in the rain. If you have large heavy luggages or elderly and children to manage, it is advisable to ring them up in advance for direction advise. As we were international guests, we had some issues locating the hotels in the cold rain. Oh well. On the upside, helpful staff, great rooms, well-equipped with everything that you need, simple buffet breakfast. They even helped packed our last day breakfast as we have to catch an early train at the Kunming train station which is about 5-10 mins walk away. The walk is manageable even with my elderly parents but I suggest you do a quick check of the route beforehand as it is a bit of maze in Kunming city. If it rains, it could be troublesome. Fortunately, the rain stopped on the morning we had to leave. Overall, I appreciate the professionalism of this hotel. Plenty of eateries and convenient shops in the area. Lots of flower biscuit shops too for any last minute souvenir purchases and there's also a 7-11 nearby.

I stay one night here and satisfied all the hotel provided and there are free laundry at 21 floor. The location was good, surrounded with food stalls, cvs, mall. Very convenient.

The room was very spacious, the shower and the view were amazing. Overall very clean, a lot of options for breakfast.

We chose this hotel for its convenient location near Kunming Station. The road leading to the hotel is quiet and a bit dimly lit at night. We were pleasantly upgraded to a larger room with great city views, which we truly appreciated. There isn’t much to explore nearby, so it may feel a little boring. The reception guy hardly understood our needs, though it was being communicated through Google Translate.

Room is very huge, spacious & clean! Very near the railway station, just 10mins walk away. Booked this room for a night before transit to Dali. Overall good experience!
