The Sharazad was an amazing place to spend the week with the family. We were interested in kite sports and this was available on site with friendly and experienced instructors. It is very tidal so water was not accessible every hour of the day, but still plenty enough to get lots of time on the water. There are 4 pools for cooling off when the tide is out. It was really peaceful and seemed to attract older families & couples. It also offered numerous sun beds in either shade or sun all with a fabulous view out to sea- something some of the other hotels do not offer as they are fenced in. We stayed in a beach bungalow which was stylishly fitted with a ‘stone look’ bed base, mosquito nets and matching stone-look en-suite bathroom. Water was provided in the room for drinking and teeth brushing (do not drink the tap water!). There is also an exceptional restaurant with an enormous menu so you never get bored with eating at the same place. It is still possible walk along the beach to other restaurants. Staff in the resort and particularly the restaurant were very friendly and chatty and attentive. Good range of cocktails too. Make sure you get up for at least one sunrise.

Excellent ! From the begining to the end. Everything is ok, the food is excellent with a good choice of meals, the room is perfect, the beach is very nice and all the installations are good. We recommand this hotel.

This hotel is a gem. Sharazad Oasis Retreat is next to Sharazad Boutique Hotel and owned by the same person who has a wonderful vision of a cool barefoot retreat, although understated. The beachfront rooms are charming and the large area of beach owned by the two hotels means that there are always peaceful spots to relax while watching local life on Jambiani Beach. There are 3 attractive swimming pools, a small and charming spa, a restaurant and bar by the pool plus a Vietnamese restaurant under a thatched palm roof on the beach. Both serve delicious food. All the staff are delightful. Great diving and kite surfing which can be organised by the hotel.
