Not a bad hotel to stay in. There is a complimentary drink for each guest per stay in the hotel. The concept is towards minimalist, comfortable beds and fairly sound proof. The twin room is consider hire spacious. There is a sauna and onsen (male/female switched in alternate days), but we didn’t utilise.
The toilet Is a bit dark and wash basin is situated outside.
Check in is at 17:00hrs and check out is before 14:00hrs. It’s good for guests who are catching a later flight.
Staff are wonderful and very helpful.

Overall, I really liked the hotel!
The location is super convenient — close to everywhere we wanted to go. The room was clean and the design was minimal but stylish, which I really loved. They also have a relaxing bath house, which was a nice bonus. One of my favorite things was that the TV in the room could connect directly to my phone — so convenient!
However, there was one issue.
My friend lost a necklace, and it felt like the staff didn’t communicate well with each other. It seemed like no proper report or message was passed on, because every time we asked, we had to explain everything from the beginning. That was a bit frustrating.
I really hope the necklace is found — please contact us as soon as possible if it is!
That’s all from me. Overall, still a good stay!

Booked Mitsui Garden as a last minute one night stay as my initial hotel has some water issues, resulting no water for shower and toileting needs.
Nonetheless Mitsui is a pleasant surprise. Location is right next to Kyoto station with lots of food, shopping options. Amenities were great too.
Room is of a great size with a small coin laundry room.
It is such a great pity that I found out about Mitsui only on my last day of stay.
Will be my choice stay the next time I visit Kyoto.

Our 2nd time staying. Very good location with lots of great restaurants around. Nearby subway stations and bus stations. Walkable distance to shopping area and even site seeing locations.

That was surprising experience staying in that hotel. Didn’t expect that level of service and attention to details.
Located near metro station, just around 5 mins. Lots of conbini’s nearby. Strait way to Nishiki market and Daimaru. We had a room with a laundry machine which is always nice.
Rooms are spacious and everything you may need is inside. Based on our previous stays, we’d probably stay in that same hotel next time as I doubt you can easily get a better value for money ratio
The Pros: Excellent location; Very kind, attentive and professional staff; breakfast is fine; - The Cons: It's an ageing hotel and it's starting to show; although generally clean my toilet, for example smelled persistently of urine since the moment I entered the room, as if the the flooring around the toilet had not been wiped down and disinfected; the hotel should be on top of the vacuum cleaner maintenance - they clearly do not change their dust sacks often, nor do they filter the air that is released by them; punctually every morning while walking down the corridors the smell of dust emanating from the carpets and/or vacuum cleaners is apparent; Vacuum cleaners need to be frequently maintained; Also what's up with the second card you hand-out at breakfast (other than the 'occupied' card) - It's redundant and totally useless. make things easier - not more complicated please! The large SPA is also very average. I wouldn't necessarily return to this hotel knowing that there are so many ew establishments around which offer newer and fresher facilities. You need to stay current and modern if you want to be competitive! Smarten-up please.
