Altinkaya Holiday Resort

Pas d'ascenseur, les chambres sur rue sont bruyantes. Ma chambre sur jardin plus calme mais mal insonorisée (bruits des autres voyageurs) et surtout une odeur d'égouts abominable. Il y a un problème qui doit être absolument pris en considération. Personnel sympa. Bon petit déjeuner. Un peu loin du centre. Je suis partie avec First Voyages que je ne recommande pas du tout par ailleurs (accords avec des magasins d'usine où nous avons passé la moitié de nos vacances dans des zones perdues au milieu de nulle part), pour son "Voyage culturel 5 étoiles à Chypre".

I am a regular visitor to this hotel and have always loved it. However this time we had my 91 year old mother with us and I was concerned by the challenges this might bring. But we were all blown away by the care provided- Melissa at the helm as ever but my mother was taken by wheelchair everywhere she needed to be with warmth, charm, humour and care and respect. We never had to worry if we popped out and left her and I now have so much respect for the wonderful team at the Altinkaya. Thank you all so much.

We had very good flights from stansted to ercan, arrived at the hotel and was very impressed with staff coming out to carry out suitcase’s, we stayed in room 201 next to the swimming pool, room is dated but spacious and very clean, the hotel could not run without Melissa she has everything under control, most of the holiday makers are regular visitors and been coming for years, there is no entertainment at this hotel so I could imagine kids getting bored, it’s definitely for the over 50, if you want to just chill this is the right place, you do need a car to get around, my biggest surprise was the cleaners they where excellent, Eddie the bar man is just brilliant, I just hope the owners of this hotel appreciate all the wonderful staff they have, I will be returning next year

My family and I stayed at the hotel for a week. We felt like home. We would recommend it to everyone. The staff is very friendly and helps to solve any question or problem. Breakfast is simple, a little boring after a week. There are good restaurants nearby for dinner. Conveniently, there is an outside bar open all day serving drinks and food. The prices are not very high. The rooms are neat, have a refrigerator, air conditioner. Some bathrooms are newly renovated. Pools with sunbeds are comfortable, a beautiful oasis of plants has been created outside, so you don't feel like the street is nearby. The only thing to keep in mind is that the sea is quite far away, so it is more convenient to have a rented car or go with a taxi (depending on the beach, the price is about 10 EUR one way).

Back at my second home Altinkaya. The fact that most of the guests return multiple times like myself speaks for itself. It’s like being part of the Altinkaya family, the welcome you get. I absolutely can not understand the criticism of the food, there are so many choices at both breakfast and dinner and the staff will always make you something if not. I can not recommend this home from home highly enough!

Hotel and rooms satisfactory. Evening meals terrible. An evening meal consists of one main dish usually either chicken bits or fish bits plus chips, pasta,rice or wheat,and some nondescript vegetable. All of which are warm but not hot. No other options . Never been to a hotel before that served such a poor selection of food.
