Hotel Bijagua

DONT GO THERE. THERE IS NO HOTEL ITS CLOSED ITS A SCAM. We arrived in la fortuna with no place to stay it wasnt a nice experience at all. Had to call booking a thousand times. THIS HOTEL IS CLOSED DONT GO THERE.

Worst place ever, No reception, No sign on the road even no in the entrance, NO WIFI - They lied that's it's the company problem , no one to communicate with, and finally after you find someone they don't speak English at all, they didn't check my name or my reservation, just showed me a room without getting any key , the pool is dirty

What a fantastic little oasis! You're literally steps away from a grocery store and about 10 restaurants, and only a few minutes away from the hot springs and all sorts of other activities, yet once you're inside the gates of the hotel it's completely quiet and you feel like you're in the middle of a beautifully landscaped estate. It was so pretty. I was expecting the pool and the cute little room, but I wasn't expecting the adorable restaurant and the games area with a pool table! We ended up having all of our meals in the restaurant - the food was great and make sure you try the fruit smoothies!!! - and wished we were staying for longer. Absolutely five stars for this gem of a hotel!

Nous avons passés deux nuits dans cet hôtel. Pas facile à trouver car pas bien indiquer . Le cadre est joli, la piscine est sympa mais pas chauffée. La chambre pour 4 est spacieuse, mais le ménage laisse à désirer et les lits craquent. Nous avons été dérangés par la musique d’un bar à côté (évitez le week-end) Le personnel est courtois, le déjeuner est copieux et joliment présenté

Great location near restaurants and a supermarket right next door. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. We didn’t go in the pool but it looked nice. Peruvian restaurant across the road was fantastic.

The best advice I can give to anyone thinking to book Hotel Bijaqua is don’t. If you want a functioning, equipped kitchenette with working appliances – don’t book here! If you are looking for any type of guest service – this is not the place. One staff member on the front desk was civil enough at check in, but still uncaring. There was one who wouldn’t actually stop looking at her phone long enough to pretend you exist. The one nicer employee actually knew she was putting us in a room with a fridge that didn’t work – the point to a kitchenette is what then. But then again, the fridge in the room I made them move us too in no way resembled what I picked out online and kept turning off. I had to through out food that just got too wet. We had three towels and one hand towel for use, no face cloths. We tried to get paper towels, dish cloths and dish towels for the kitchen, and were given two bathmats instead. The next day my husband spoke with the only person who seemed to care about guest comfort (an older gentleman – above 20 something – doing yard work), who managed to get one of the others to bring us two hand towels. I was told, “here use these for now”. We never received the paper towels, dish cloths or dish towels, so I guess as the one young fellow said, “it was being worked on”. There was no remote for the TV. I was told they couldn’t find it, but that it didn’t really matter because the TV didn’t work. My daughter’s room had the same three bath towels and one hand towel. NO towels for the pool. No glasses in the room. We also did not receive any general housekeeping services. Staff also made faces when you asked for help. Most importantly, we heard from more than one individual that they only took over 8 months ago and that’s why we got the price we got. In fact, the one young man who was apparently related to the owner said to suck it up. He showed no signs of caring whatsoever! The new owners’ muscle car took one of the few parking spaces on site. Nowhere on *********** stated new administration (ownership), discounted price, things don’t work, or things are missing, and no update was sent out from the new ownership. Finally, do not look for the green sign to find the hotel, it’s in the back yard. Like one of the other reviews, we spent a great deal of time driving up and down the street, asked locals for help and then finally contacted hotel; staff found it quite amusing that we couldn’t find the hotel. We were then told it was next to the Super Cristian and to look for the black gate.
