Hotel Rosario la Paz

This is the 2nd time I stayed at the Rosario and I love the hotel. The front desk is efficient, professional.and helpful. The hotel is clean, updated and well appointed. Breakfast is yummy, water is warm, bed is comfy. There was a transportation strike the day I was leaving and they informed me so I could get to the airport on time. The street is a bit sketchy at night, so mind what you are carrying and those around you. Hotel is up a hill a bit so you might get winded if walking. My biggest issue and the reduction in stars during this stay was during checkout I had to pay in dollars or by credit card. As a Bolivian (who lives in the US) I was floored that I couldn't pay with a QR debit from my Bolivia bank account or using Bolivianos. I was wondering if it's because the hotel is owned by Peruvians? I was deeply disappointed and in fact discussed with friends who said that's against the law and isn't allowed. I don't get the fact that they are only accepting dollars/euros as payments in Bolivia. Needless to say I'm returning to La Paz and will stay in a hotel that is owned by Bolivians and accepts payment from a Bolivian bank.

We had a 3 night stay and was just thrilled with the standard. Staff every single one of them was courteous and forth coming. Breakfast buffet was great, we just arrived after 3 weeks in Peru and the lift in selection was enormous, warm/hot coffee and drinkable too. If you need to find a hotel then you won’t regret choosing this one.

The hotel staff was excellent. Cleanliness was excellent. Breakfast was very good. The only thing to be improved is the shower water that did not have enough pressure and not warm enough.

Entire Staff, from doorman to breakfast, treated us like royalty. They went above and beyond to make our stay easy and trouble free, from booking our bus to Copacabana to giving us an early breakfast. Comfy beds, nice shower, gorgeous decor. This is a fantastic place to stay in La Paz.

Ottima permanenza. Ho soggiornato in coppia per una notte con il mio fidanzato in questo hotel prenotato dalla nostra agenzia viaggi. Posizione ottima: in super centro. Pulizia: impeccabile ovunque e hotel molto curato in ogni dettaglio di arredamento. Apprezzata la colazione dolce e salata con varia scelta anche alle 5 del mattino per chi deve partire/fare escursioni. Che dire del personale ? Perfetto. Dall’usciere al receptionist, alla cameriera e ai tecnici. Tutti super gentili e disponibili. Il primo giorno abbiamo avuto un problema con l’acqua fredda. Non veniva assolutamente acqua fredda dalla doccia ma solo bollente 😅 (Che strano!) il problema alla fine non è stato risolto però il tecnico è venuto subito nella nostra camera a capire cosa non funzionava. Inoltre l’hotel ci ha tenuto le valigie nella “luggage room” per tutta la durata del nostro tour in Bolivia (3 giorni). Al ritorno abbiamo potuto anche usufruire del bagno per darci una sciacquata/cambiarci in attesa del nostro taxi per tornare in aereoporto. Molto organizzati ed efficienti! Consigliatissimo 👍🏼

This hotel was like an oasis in the middle of a very sketchy area. I was sad my trip was delayed so I arrived at 10pm and had to leave at 2 am, and wished I had longer to enjoy this hotel. But even arriving so late the receptionist was prompt in answering the door and pleasant to make sure I had everything I needed. The water was hot and the bed was comfortable.
