"Lovely building, very spacious. The rooms were clean with simple decor. We used a double room with private bathroom and also a bunk room with shared bathroom. Both were great. Breakfast was good but I think they could offer more choice. Access to a kettle all day was handy. Staff very polite. Pool area was great. Rooms could be made better by adding a tv."

"Central and yet surprisingly quiet hotel. (South room). Everything is within walking distance in the immediate vicinity: mountain railways, sports shops, hairdresser, bakery, grocery store and 8 restaurants for every taste. Beautiful, clean wellness facility. Reservation and check-in quick and easy. Helpful and friendly people everywhere in the hotel. Downer. As a long-time guest (around 80 stays in summer, autumn and winter since 1995) you feel the interaction is cool. All but two of the familiar faces in the reception and restaurant have disappeared. The Rocksresort turned the whole thing into a huge operation, which works well, but you no longer feel at home. In my opinion, hotel guests should be treated more personally than guests in the resort's dozens of apartments. The price is quite a bit higher. The way it works now is like at IBIS or other business hotels. And this: the parking space in the underground car park costs a princely 20 francs per night. Once when I wanted to drive back in from a trip, they said the parking garage was full. After a discussion with the parking attendant, I was let in and, after a long search, I was able to park my car in a damp and dark corner on the lowest floor. Reported this to reception. Was accepted. Reaction zero. A pity."

"Nice hotel, but during the summer at least they seem to mostly handle BIG groups of elderly tourists. This comes with advantages and disadvantages. Advantage - the spa was basically a private spa for my wife and I. However, a BIG disadvantage was that at breakfast the group swarmed the breakfast area making it difficult to move through. And if you came later then they were completely out of simple things like tomatoes and cucumbers, which is really unacceptable for a 4-star hotel."

"There used to be a small playground and an area with stones that was attractive for small kids to play. Both are gone and have been replaced by something uninspiring. What are families with small kids supposed to do while older kids are in ski school? The only options are to leave the rocks resort. That and the fact that the Laax skiing area doesn't offer a family ticket (so that parents can swap duties and fun easily) drive us to try another area next year."
