Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa

This review happened in August of 2025. My wife and I visited this location as our last mini vacation before she goes back to work for the fall school year. The hotel is located right next to Lake Arrowhead, and it even has a very small but very nice lakefront so you can actually swim in the lake. The lake is very nice and has a very beautiful lobby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has an excellent restaurant and bar (I highly recommend you eat there). The hotel has pool and hot tub and it's perfect to relax in and they even have a gym. The lakefront is located in the same area where the pool and hot tub are. Steps will take you to the lake, go early and you'll have the lakefront all to yourself. The hotel is surrounded by pine trees, and it gives the hotel a secluded felling. The hotel is really nice, but it does show its age, and it does need some rapiers. Out suite was facing the lake and has a very nice view. The room has signs of its age and needed repairs (Chipped paint, water damage, peeling wallpaper, damaged furniture). But honestly it was no big issue. We enjoyed our stay and will come back here again. We are thinking of coming back in the fall (We want to see the season change). We highly recommend you visit this hotel and give it a chance.

This survey is directed towards housekeeping and quality control operations. I stayed in room 235 on 08/01 to 08/03. Upon checking into my room late that evening, I noticed that the bathtub drain was not working properly. Since it was close to 11 PM, I decided to wait until the next day to report it. Around 7 AM the following day I reported the issue to Michelle at the front desk. She was very polite and sent a technician to my room within 30 minutes. The technician advise me that it was too early in the morning to snake the drain and that he will be back later on to complete the service order. I thanked him and gave him approval to enter my room since I was going to be away from the room during the day. As we were getting ready in the morning, I noticed that the inner curtain for the sliding door was missing, and it appeared that someone yanked it off, which basically gave us no privacy. I also noticed an excessive amount of stains on the carpet which appeared to have been from the previous guest since majority of the stains were still moist. At that point I had seen enough and I usually wait until the end of my stay to report my findings and dissatisfaction, but I needed to make it a point to address it now so that front desk was aware of the poor condition of the room. Michelle was very apologetic and offered us a refund on the resort fees. Unfortunately, because of the lack of room availability, she was not able to find us another room for the weekend. I was baffled that housekeeping did not notice the drain issue since they’re supposed to clean the tub at the end of every stay. Also, the lack of them not reporting the curtain missing as well as how filthy the carpet was. This room should’ve never been offered to the public until the repairs and cleaning was done properly . It appears that there is a huge gap in quality control when it comes to housekeeping and I fear this will continue to be a problem if it’s not addressed properly. This was my 10th time staying at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and I noticed a huge shift since the resort was sold off and lost its AAA Four Diamond Award quality. Please go back to the basics. Take the client’s feedback and concerns and actually do something to address them. This place has great potential with an AMAZING location it just requires quality control, consistency and strong leadership to bring it back to its glory. Lake view room was wonderful! Spa was superb - definitely book your spa services ahead of time, but if not, visit the spa anyway! It's another world. Restaurant was delicious & service was professional. Truly a Resort and Spa experience!

Customer service at the front desk was excellent. At the top of any place I've stayed in decades. For some reason, the room I had reserved through ******* was not available on the day of check-in (ADA room with walk-in shower). The staff offered to move us there on day two, but we decided not to make the move. The room is ready for a refresh and maintenance of bathroom fixtures. However, the location of the property is excellent.

Good Stay Check in was easy and smooth - room was mostly clean, there was some residue on the tv stand. We ate at Bin 189 and it wasn't anything special - would recommend finding somewhere else to eat. The view from the hotel was nice on the third floor - if you can, make sure to get the specific 'Lakeside View' rooms. There were no noise issues we could hear outside our room so we could sleep just fine. Would stay again.
