Disney's BoardWalk Villas

We stayed here for 5 days whilst we went to Disney World. We really loved it. We had our own apartment with a kitchen and washing machine and dryer. We were able to cook all our own meals which was perfect as the food at DisneyWorld is appalling! We packed up a picnic lunch every day and this made life so much easier in the parks. No queuing for crap food! Then back to Boardwalk at the end of a busy day to use the pool. It was really lovely and calm and a good antidote to the chaotic time in the parks. You can get food delivered from a few good local supermarkets and concierge will bring it up to your room. There is a limited and very over priced deli we used one day which was decent enough food. We had a car so used that to get to and from the parks but there is plenty of bus and boat options. Most places take an hour to get to using public transport apart from Epcot which is walkable. We had 2 adjoining rooms for our family of 5 with plenty of very comfortable beds and space for us all.

My wife and I spent three nights here. We've stayed at several different hotels on property over the years and this is the first time we left knowing that we would never return to this particular one -- three nights with three different rooms. Check-in went smoothly and we got a room at the far end next to a pool undergoing maintenance. Okay, we dropped our bags and headed off to the parks thinking work would stop by 5-ish. Returned at 9:30pm to find generators & lights would be running all night -- no advance notice of this! Hotel was fully booked so we couldn't change rooms till the next day. Returned at lunch the following day to change rooms - got a room at the other far end of the hotel. New room seemed quite warm, called maintenance to check it (AC broken) and 1.5 hours later we were headed to yet another room. Mind you, at this point we've wasted a 3-4 hours of our limited vacation time getting our room settled. Finally got to unpack and headed back to parks. Worst part - never once did a Disney employee apologize for the inconvenience this caused us! You can definitely call this a non-Magical experience. As for the hotel, we saw little difference between this Deluxe Resort and some of the Moderate Resorts we've stayed in - room for room. In our opinion, the large price differential between a Deluxe & a Moderate Resort simply is not worth it. We recommend you save some money by not staying in a Deluxe Resort. The only advantage we saw to this Deluxe Resort was its close proximity to the parks - period, end of story. We will be back for future visits to the parks but will not bother with the Boardwalk Villas or another Deluxe Resort.

Great location for both Epcot (walk or boat) or Hollywood Studios (walk, boat or even skyliner). Incredibly helpful staff. Ask for a room near the elevators or you may have a long walk to your room. The quiet pool is lovely. Nice coffee shop (shuts at 3pm) for a quick croissant etc at breakfast. We will definitely visit again.

We recently stayed at the Boardwalk Villas. While the trip was fine, the resort did not wow me like AKL and others have done in the past. Staff were very friendly and the room was clean. The location is convenient to Epcot and HS. Boat service to HS is shared with YC, BC, and Swan/Dolphin. Bus to AK is shared with Yacht & Beach Club. MK bus was not shared. There are 3 strikes to this location for me which may not matter to someone else, but will prevent me from returning: 1-Mug refills are only at the Boardwalk Deli outside of the resort 2-There are no traditional breakfast items like Mickey waffles available for breakfast at the QS location, only bagels 3-The hot tubs’ jets seemed very weak like they needed maintenance and the DVC hot tub seemed very dirty, which was unexpected at the price point for this resort

This is now one of my favorite on property Disney hotels. The lobby is beautiful and the hotel location is awesome. Rooms are updated and pool is great. Having a balcony was a nice touch and my kids loved hanging out there in the morning. We absolutely recommend and will be back soon!

Rented a studio villa through David’s for 10 days. David’s was great, we just chose the wrong hotel for our liking. The location to Epcot can’t be beat, a 5 min walk. A 10/15 minute walk or tram ride to Hollywood Studios. The room was fine, having a kitchenette was nice for quick breakfasts. There really isn’t a lot of choices for food around the Boardwalk itself. Not like other resorts we’ve stayed at. The staff was hit or miss in terms of friendly or not. One does not get the true “Disney feel” when staying there.
