The Wisconsin Hotels & Conference Center

Nice location out of the busy part of town but then just a short drive to downtown. The room was nice but the pull out soft bed was very uncomfortable. The pool area was very nice for young children and older children as well. Would stay there again.

We just spent the weekend at this hotel and I'm shocked that Choice Hotels even has their brand on it. Our room was beyond repair in some areas --- banged up furniture, disgusting grout in the bathroom, bathroom wallpaper that has to be over 20 years old all peeling off, a toilet that was just barely hanging on. The tv in the room is one of the tiniest things I've seen and most of the regular channels didn't even work. The beds were comfortable. Lighting in the room was minimal and our desk lamp had two burned out bulbs. We called about them, but they never showed up to fix. The room was clean if you didn't look at the corners or beyond surface areas. The outdoor pool area is great for little kids. Easy to see them, great seating areas with plenty of space and on a busy weekend it was half full at the most. Had the service in this hotel been better, I would have seen past their dingy and old rooms, but only one person we encountered even cracked a smile. Everyone else was emotionless, didn't make eye contact or stared right past. It was the strangest thing. They are charging Wisconsin Dells resort prices and not providing even a quarter of the service.

Overall the property was nice and it was clean. The rooms were large. There was a vent in our bathroom that connected elsewhere and someone was vaping in the whole bathroom was full of Vape smoke. Just awful. It’s a non-smoking hotel but the vents should not connect the rooms which they did. They did not have a free continental breakfast and instead give you a 10% coupon off for their restaurant. I don’t see why they couldn’t have had a continental breakfast in addition to the restaurant option. Check-in was fast and the service was good. So the stay was OK except for the issues mentioned. It is very conveniently located by several restaurants within walking distance.

The beds/mattresses were very hard! One 8"x8" tile in the bathroom next to the shower/tub was completely loose! And the grout has been missing from around the tile for quite some time! The tub drain & sink drain was very slow in draining! And a light bulb was out in the desk/table lamp. The closet for hanging your clothes up was locked. And no continental breakfast.

Never have I ever had to change hotels after one night in the middle of vacation. The staff were nice and courteous although we should of gotten a discount on the one night. Along with the other two night refund we got. But it was disgusting. The hotel was very humid. So bad my wife woke up coughing. I’m sure there mold issues. It was so bad. The clothes in the closet were wet from being in there. There was some type of blood snot from a kid probably on the wall. Used bar of soap from previous tenet. Wallpaper was coming off probably from the humidity and n the room. And trust me we cranked the ac to bring it down. We went somewhere else the next morning.

We had horrible customer service, I will never recommend Clarion Inn in Tomah WI for any friends or family. This was 2 times in in a row that my family has stayed there and has been treated horribly.
