I can highly recommend to stay at Hotel Tukul. The rooms are comfortable, safe and clean, and there is a guard in front of the entrance. The staff are very accommodating and friendly, and will go far to help you with anything. The food is excellent too, the location and the flowers around adds a very cosy feeling to it.

This is the place to stay in Lalibela. They were there to pick us up at the airport with helpful staff. The rooms were clean and spacius. The owner, Messey, was gracious and helpful. They provided us with guides and transportation to the churches. Prices were reasonable. Not your typical venue, but should be experienced.

Geweldig hotel, mooie ruime kamers, lief en zorgzaam personeel, op loopafstand van de kerken en vanuit de prachtige afgeschermde tuin kun je in alle rust genieten van zowel het levendige dorpsleven als tientallen soorten vogels en bloemen. Een kleine oase. Het eten is lekker en de manager denkt mee als je iets speciaals wil of ergens tegen aan loopt (zo kon ik niet pinnen in het dorp maar met zijn hulp hebben dit alsnog kunnen regelen).

Ho utilizzato questa struttura per una notte a metano novembre 2023 quando la situazione del paese era ancora poco serena infatti era valido il coprifuoco, zero turisti e moltissime strutture chiuse proprio per questo. Eravamo infatti gli unici due ospiti. Le camere pulite e finestrate con ottima vista, sono a forma circolare con un arredamento minimal ma carino. Consiglio le camere al secondo piano per la veduta. Il personale molto gentile. Abbiamo cenato e fatto colazione e qui devo segnalare che nonostante avessero preparato solo per noi ( abbiamo addirittura ordinato prima di arrivare cosa mangiare) qualche problemino di stomaco lo abbiamo avuto ( nn abbiamo mangiato altro in quei gg). Non so se ci tornerei.

A really lovely hotel with a family feel. Beautiful setting in the centre of Lalibela. Very comfortable rooms and super-helpful staff. We were a group of eleven who came for Ethiopian Orthodox Easter. We received a warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I can thoroughly recommend it.

We have stayed many times over the years at Tukul Village during our visits for both business and vacation and always found friendly, efficient and cheerful service from all the staff. Alex and Melisse in Reception are willing to help out in all ways with anything that is needed. On many occasions a splendid buffet is arranged in the dining room for guests. Fresh juices are served and a good selection of local beers is always available. The staff go out of their way to offer any help and advice that might be required. We will stay again whenever we visit Lalibela and would encourage anyone else to do so too.

We spent two nights at the Tukul Village hotel in Lalibela. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The toilet and shower worked perfectly. The cleanliness of the place was excellent. The staff was amicable at all times. The cuisine was homemade and very tasty, with homemade bread, olive oil, Ethiopian coffee, etc. The hotel has a wonderful garden for outdoor dining. The Tukul Village hotel is highly recommended.

A great place to stay ! Conveniently situated for visiting. Charming traditional style and spacious rooms with all facilities including wi fi. Lovely grounds with trees and flowers. Breakfast with local delicious honey. We only stayed 2 nights and would love to have stayed longer. Beautiful sunset walking distance away. Totally recommend staying at Tukul Village Alex and staff took great care of us.

Excellent stay at Tukul Village. We are 2 sisters traveling from USA. Alex, in reception has worked here 17 years, since opening. Everyone is friendly & helpful & very professional. The food & menu choices are very good. The round tukul rooms are so charming with amazing views. This was better than we expected for first time travels to Lalibela & Ethiopia!
