This lovely accommodation was situated in a stately home about 15 minutes from the centre of Durham and about 5 minutes from Lanchester (where we had dinner at a really nice Italian restaurant - recommended). From our prompt and warm welcome from the owner, being shown to our beautifully appointed room with an ensuite and glorious garden view, to a scrumptious breakfast our experience was just great.

This was without a doubt the best B&B I have ever stayed in. I was in Lanchester for one night to attend my cousin's funeral. It was incredibly comfortable - luxurious. The breakfast was wonderful. Thank you. I shall certainly try and visit again. Jean Ferguson-Davie

Had a one night stay here with my partner and our dog Scruffy. Truly grand beautiful old hall to stay at. Our room was really spacious comfy and clean. Modern large ensuite with shower and a bath. Full English breakfast and many other available cereals, berries and yogurt. Felt very spoilt. Our dog loved running around in the grounds of the hall with her new furry friends who lived there. Such a peaceful and relaxing place. we wanted to stay longer and will certainly be going back. Thankyou Christine for looking after us. Such a kind lady, it was a pleasure to meet you.
