The hotel is right across the road from the train station and tram/bus stops. I had a nice stay except for two things. First, the tap/shower water was too hot. A hotel staff showed me how to adjust the water temperature and said it was like this all in France. I of course disagree. I had stayed in two ibis hotels in Paris and Nantes just before checking in this Mercure. I had stayed in countless hotels throughout my 30 years of travels in Europe and had never encountered this ”scalding water” issue. In any case, the solution was to let the water run an exceptionally long time till the very hot water ran out. Then I could adjust the temperature. I come from a place where people treasure fresh water and find this unacceptable. As the hotel take international guests, perhaps there should be notices/instructions in the bathroom on how to deal with this ”scalding water” issue. Second, the coffee provided in the room was below expectation. A 4-star hotel should do better than that. I was glad about the kettle in the room, though.

فندق حديث وممتاز تحت تصنيف اربع نجوم لقربة من محطة قطارات غار سنت جان مما يجعله ممتازا للمسافرين عبر الترانزيت وسهولة الوصول للاماكن السياحية يسلط الضوء على فورمات الموزعة الغرفه نظيفه ومريحه ومؤثثه بشكل جيد يلاحظ في اغلب الاحيان الديكورات عجيبة وطاقم العمل متساعدين. رغم الموقع الرائع الذي يقع بالقرب من اماكن التجديد والقرب من الاسواق المجاوره إلا ان الفندق نفسه يتميز بمرافق ممتازه منها ركوب للسياره على السطح / مطعم وقيمه رائع مقابل المال وهي قاعدة فعالة و أنيقة و ذات تقييم عالي لاستكشاف بوردو، رغم أن مناطق الجذب المركزية تحتاج إلى سير قصيرة أو ركوب ترام.

🟢 The location was very convenient and easy to travel around. We parked there and then used the tramway to get around. Convenient and easy. The inside of the building looks fresh and good. The rooms were quite big so we could spread everywhere. Surprised to see the toilets and showers separated, but enjoyable. Large choice for the breakfast for 18€ but had to wait sometimes for refill. 🔴 the staff wasn't really friendly except if you were the one to do your approach and talk to them. There was an alarm early morning during our stay and no-one was at the reception to greet us and tell us if we had to evacuate or anything. When we (other clients and us) told the réceptionnist it wasn't normal she got upset and replied back instead of apologising or anything. The staff didn't know what they were supposed to do in this case. Not reassuring if there's an actual fire someday. 🟡 cleaning wasn't amazing but could have been worse so no comment on that.
