Aquamare Beach Camp Resort

Great facilities- shower was really good, hot and cold setting. Bed was comfy, nice clean/well decorated room. Staff were lovely and helped us with everything we needed. Always there as well.The location is very nice. It's on the walkway along Bulabog beach. Not too far from a choice of restaurants and transportation to other parts of Boracay. Management is very friendly, they do offer food but I didn't eat there so I can't comment on its quality. The wifi works well, there's a great balcony attached to the room, the CR is large, water is warm. Lots of cabinet space for clothes. King bed is very comfortable. They offer a heating kettle, with two cups but no coffee for the morning. The soap and shampoo is not always replenished. There was no complimentary water, even the least expensive hotels offer complimentary water and it's a long walk to the nearest store before one could buy water.

When deciding to visit Siquijor I chose to take on the Glamping experience offered by Aquamare Beach Camp Resort. Located in Larena, one of the 6 municipalities of Siquijor, it is a 25 minute ride from the port of Siquijor. The glamping tent is air-conditioned and set up like a hotel room. Each tent is assigned its own toilet and bath outside, just a few feet away from where the tents are located. The tents are nicely spaced in the grounds, not crowding each other. Amenities such as towels and toiletries were provided and these were already placed inside the toilet/bathroom. Glamping makes one feel close to nature with the modern amenities of hotel living - a comfortable bed, air-conditioning in hot or humid tropical weather, hot showers, nice towels! The resort has very good Wi-Fi so it is a good place for Work From Anywhere or if you wish to stay connected - who wants to go off the grid these days?!?! The resort has a well maintained swimming pool with lounging areas. Aquamare has a very nice beachfront which allows you a nice long walk along the water and it has a very beautiful view of Cebu Strait where you get to see the silhouettes of the islands of Negros and Cebu! The beachfront has a restaurant with a reasonably priced, varied menu. The staff are friendly and hotel management just re-opened after closing as a result of the pandemic. The resort is relatively new and I hope they maintain it because it is a very nice place to stay in.

To be fair since it was our first time in Siquijor, the place was a welcome surprise for us to visit as a cozy and relaxing place with a nice ambiance and affordable food. Unfortunately, the service was bad and unwelcoming. Our family had lunch and used the beach but were snootily informed that the resort was not even equipped with a shower to wash off and freshen up after using the beach. We also wanted to rent a kayak but were also informed that this was exclusive for check-in guests only including use of their swimming pool. They said that the resort had water supply issues hence not equipped with a shower for walk-in guests but it was ironic since they maintained a clean pool and good water pressure from their restroom. Didn't get any apologies from the disappointing and shabby experience we had and left the place not experiencing any warmth at all from the staff. Good customer service with a smile is always key in sustaining repeat business especially in hotels and resorts. We were considering checking in at a future date but totally changed our minds after experiencing some cold and shabby treatment from this resort. Sadly disappointing from a place that had potential to it.

un endroit très tranquille, reposant, la vue du petit déjeuner est top, nous avons même vu passer des dauphins!! incroyable! le personnel est top, ils nous ont décoré toute une chambre pour l'anniversaire de la fille de nos amis avec des ballons, photos,... la piscine est très joli, mais pas eu le temps de tester. Ils louent des scooters qui sont en parfait état! Par contre les chambres sont petites, et les lits tout petits (140cm), avec des matelas très durs, le reveil est matinal, car pas moyen de fermer toutes les ouvertures et la salle de bain est privé mais à l'extérieur... pas très pratique, mais ils louent aussi des chambres avec salle de bain.
