Island Boutique Hotel

Pros: By the beach, with free chairs and umbrellas, and close to the airport. Walking distance (30 minutes) from the historical center. Spacious rooms. Cons: The hotel advertises that all rooms have see views, but the 1st floor has a view that's mostly obstructed by the roof. If you are going to pay full-price for the view, request a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor, otherwise it's money thrown away. The beach is not as nice as in other nearby places (Ayia Napa, for instance), but the water looks clean. The problem is the sand: full of litter thrown by guests and not cleaned by the property or the municipality - disgusting to walk barefoot. Breakfast was OK, but the only drinks served were coffee and artificial juices (no water). You can only get one beach towel per guest, so you have to use the same one to sit on and to dry yourself. Shower was broken, drinking glass was chipped, air conditioning very noisy, sink was dirty, linen ragged/ripped/stained (some of these issues were fixed after I complained, but it was a very short vacation and I wasted a lot of time having to deal with issues that should be basic hospitality). Staff was rude and confrontational (except for a very nice young man who was working the breakfast salon). Free wifi worked on and off in my room. No bar service at the beach, even though it is 5 meters away (guests have to pick up drinks and food themselves at the counter to take to their beach chairs). Not a boutique hotel, and I believe there are better options for the price (which is not cheap, especially for a 3-star) in Larnaca.

Where to begin ? We found this hotel 24 hours before we due to fly out to Cyprus. We were originally due to travel to another resort in North Cyprus but were forced to change our plans as we couldn't take our hire car across the border. So as we were flying to Larnaca we decided to stay there instead. What a find - this place is superb - a small hotel with only fifteen rooms which all face onto the beach. The hotel is on the beach and you step out from the restaurant onto the sunbeds that are provided free of charge. All beach towels provided - no stupid resort fees here. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the breakfast very nice - passed my test as the mushrooms were fresh not tinned. Wonderful beach views, very helpful and friendly staff. You couldn't fault this place and we are already planning to return.

The location is excellent and the restaurant is also very good . The staff is polite and willing to serve ,with smiles..................!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..... . ............. ...............................................

This hotel is a gem - what a find! Small & stylish with perfect views! Very, very clean & tidy, Elvi & team couldn't do enough for their guests. Breakfast - superb & plenty of choice! Visit again when in Cyprus? most definitely. Another bonus for us was the perfect weather after much rain. Gym - also useful & literally just across the road Thank you!

Mały, kameralny hotel położony praktycznie na plaży. Ładny widok z okna na morze.Dobre i różnorodne śniadania. Pokój wygodny, bardzo czysty z wygodnym łóżkiem. W odległości dłuższego spaceru ładną promenadą - centrum Larnaki. Blisko do słonego jeziora. Na plaży można obserwować ładujące samoloty, gdyż lotnisko graniczy z plażą Mackenzi. Jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni z pobytu I chętnie tu wrócimy zimą!

The hotel location is lovely as it’s at the beachfront. The airport and the centre of Larnaca are close. It’s nicely furnished and the breakfast is all right, staff is very friendly and helpful. But…. at night.. there is extremely loud music and we’ve ringed the bar and reception several times and they did not lower the sound as we’ve asked as it’s unreasonable to have it sooo mega loud. The law probably let’s them play by midnight. Avoid if you’ve booked a hotel where you want to sleep. Probably you book a certain hotel room because you want to sleep and especially if it’s called a boutique hotel and it’s not located in Ayia Napa and it’s actually not the cheapest. If we wanted a loud party music we would head there or in a hostel. Avoid.
