After my husband and I checked in for a two night stay, we found that the wifi was not working, told that they were waiting for a part. It was still not working whe we checked out two days later. One employee said to us “things happen”, another “not my fault” It was extremely inconvenient for us and I called Hilton customer service. They called the hotel and were told that it was the weather. Complete lie! The toilet paper holder was hanging from the wall, the baseboards were covered with dust. Stacks of boxed TV’s were in the lobby hallway, the attached picture show the entryway the entire time that we were there. It was just a “tacky” feel to the entire location, very different from what we usually feel at a Hampton. I called Hilton after we checked out as they had requested and they did provide some compensation in points.

The breakfast food available was horrid. The bananas were all well beyond ripe. They were all dark brown. The oranges had mold on them. The hard boiled eggs were very rubbery and chewy. Didn’t dare eat the prepared freeze dried eggs and mystery meat. Head across to the Waffle House. Room was nice and clean. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom could have been cleaner . Overall a good stay. Too bad the breakfast options were so bad. I would stay again, but plan on eating breakfast elsewhere.

I am disappointed in Hilton and Hampton Inn. The day before I arrived, I called to request an early check in. Renee firmly but professionally told me that that was very unlikely to happen but that I should call back in the morning on the off-chance that we could get in half-an-hour early. The next day I called, and the lady rudely and condescendingly told me that check-in was at 3:00. We arrived at the hotel at 1:00 (because that's when our travel caused us to arrive in town), and Cherelle at the front desk merely repeated over and over that "check-in is at 3:00." She was aggressively unhelpful. Neither she nor Renee explained why it wasn't possible to get into at least one room at any point before 3:00. They didn't ask what travel problem we were trying to solve, didn't ask if they could store our luggage until the room was ready. Nothing. There was no behavior that indicated that Hilton is at all in the business of providing customer service. They made me feel like I was in their way rather than their revenue source. I have been going to Hilton properties for personal travel exclusively for almost 20 years. I am not anymore. Hilton is not the company I once new. Aggressively unhelpful. And I still don't know why we couldn't get in the rooms early. The housekeeping staff was lovely and wonderful and appeared to be done by noon every day. And the room reeked of mold and kicked up my allergies. The microwave was so small it couldn't pop a bag of popcorn. If I go back to Laurel, I won't stay here; I'll stay in Hattiesburg. I'm sad. I'll miss the Hilton of yore. That said, Housekeeping was great. They were friendly, and the rooms were clean. If the Housekeeping staff is promoted to management, I'll come back.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the last several years, and the staff almost feels like family. They welcome me and do everything possible to make my stay comfortable. I’ve watched them do this for everyone, not just me. They are conveniently located off the interstate and in a safe, quiet area. A particular shout out to Cherrel and Shannon. They are kind, compassionate, and always willing to help. I love seeing their smiling faces every time I go. Anuj, the owner, must stay busy 24 hours a day but every time I see him, he has a smile on his face and makes me feel like a valued customer. if you’re traveling through, this is a great stop over and if you’re working or visiting in the area, this is my favorite place to stay.

Great stay! Our stay was very nice! Summer at the reception desk was nice and helpful and the chef (I can't remember her name I'm sorry) at breakfast was very nice. I say chef because she makes the grits in the morning. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. The surrounding area had a lot available and seemed okay. The hotel seemed newer and we'll maintained. Didn't get to use the pool, sadly but they have one.

The ladies at the front desk were the best! Clean rooms. Good breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
