Devonfield Inn

Fantastic bed and breakfast in the middle of the bucolic Berkshires - a fantastic escape for a romantic sojourn or simply a peaceful retreat. Doug and Jim go above and beyond with their hospitality always with a smile and friendly gesture. Jim’s breakfast desserts are phenomenal and the Happy Hour with live music is superb with Doug and Jim both lending their voices to entertain guests in collaboration with a pianist that truly brings back the concept of Parlor music into the 21st century. The musical ambiance at breakfast is also reminiscent of my own playlists, with a mix of classical, new age, and soft instrumental listening. The historic inn retains much of its charm with original details throughout - truly a step into New England country charm. My partner, now fiancée, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it will forever be memorable as our engagement destination. We are looking forward to returning for many years to come!

This was our first vist to the Devonfield Inn. We have stayed at Inns throught New England. This by far is the best so far. Everything from location,the room,the food, and Doug and Jim were first class. We have already booked another stay for this Fall.

This was our first stay at Devonfield Inn, we will definitely be back. The inn was meticulously restored and the rooms are furnished with outstanding attention to detail. Doug, Jim, and the entire staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was different every day and always delicious. Thanks for a great stay, we will see you next trip.

Very enjoyable comfortable stay

We were back across the pond for another stay after 5 months, just can’t stay away! We were again treated to such a special stay, which is why we came back so soon. We had been dreaming about Jimmy’s breakfast all that time and flying 3,500 miles to experience ‘The Devonfield’ again, we were not disappointed. We stayed in the same room, which felt just like home. We were even treated to a dusting of snow the afternoon we arrived which made everything look magical. Visiting at a different time of year gave everything a new perspective but with the same familiar feeling of being truly taken care of. We will be back soon but for now thank you once again xx
