"First things first, the Santa Marina is at the top of a very steep hill and the hotel’s drive is even steeper! We knew this before we booked but we didn’t anticipate just how tough the walk up from the village of Agios Nikitas would be in July in the middle of a heatwave! But the hotel is worth the walk. Set in lovely surroundings the hotel is peaceful and quiet. There’s a lovely large pool with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. That being said the sunbeds have seen better days and need updating and the area round the pool needs some tlc – a little **** wouldn’t go amiss! The pool was also very warm and wasn’t too refreshing when taking a dip but the 2 showers were lovely and cool. There’s a pool bar which opened around 10:30 after breakfast finished and didn’t close until late. The prices were ok, €4.70 for a large draught Mythos, around €4 for a freddo cappuccino. The bar snacks were quite reasonably priced we thought - €6 for a chicken club which comes with chips and is enough for 2. There was also a large pizza for about €4 which would feed an army. Small bottles of water were €0.60. There’s also a lifeguard on duty – Yannis who was very nice and Antonios was the barman who loved making cocktails. The hotel has an international clientele with hardly any Brits which wasn’t a bad thing! There are no sunbed wars and most guests tended to only stay at the pool for a while and then they were off in their cars exploring the rest of Lefkada. Our bedroom was perfectly adequate with a lovely little balcony that overlooked the village and the sea below. The aircon was included and looked brand new and the bathroom was very modern with a corner shower cubicle with sliding doors and a proper shower that you didn’t have to hold in one hand! There was also complimentary shampoo and shower gel. There was a wardrobe and safe and a dressing table with mirror. The French doors to the balcony seemed very new and also had shutters so everything felt very safe. The beds were also really comfy. The balcony however didn’t have any washing lines which I think would be a useful addition. The rooms were cleaned every day and the towels and I think the bedding were changed on a daily basis. I cannot fault the cleanliness of this hotel and the cleaners worked tirelessly. Mina looked after our room and she was amazing. Breakfast was good. There was something for everyone. This ranged from fruit (mostly tinned peaches, prunes and dried apricots) to pastries, to fried eggs, omelettes, sausage, beans, fresh tomatoes and feta, cereals, homemade cake and the obligatory toast machine! The juice was from a machine which obviously wasn’t fresh and another machine for hot water and coffee. Now for the negative. The dining room had a lovely large terrace with amazing views but you couldn’t sit outside as it was infested with wasps. I don’t know if this is normal for July (we normally holiday in September) or if the heatwave had exacerbated things but they were everywhere. In the e"

"Very nice resort with amazing private beach, the hotel was full capacity but it never felt too busy we could always find place by the beach. We stayed in a superior suite family of 4 which was very comfortable. Rooms were clean and been serviced everyday. Couple of points that could be better for mgt. to consider More coffee machines or faster ones during breakfast as it was taking forever with long queues every morning we stayed for a week and it was a same everyday. Other recommendations will be get some new hair dryers please the ones in the rooms are from the 90’s and didn’t work all the time and when worked it was taking forever to dry. (3 girls in family) it was taking like 45 mins. Over all very nice experience"

"What a lovely surprise! I had a truly wonderful experience at this hotel. The rooms were exceptionally clean, spacious, and offered stunning views. "Our stay was almost perfect. The staff were helpful and very friendly. Unfortunately we stayed during the annual cultural festival and some of the performers decided to celebrate about 100 metres away from the hotel, singing and playing a trumpet until after 1.00am. "We arrived late evening on the 3rd of September 2023 , We asked the receptionists if there was drinks or food available she apologised most sincerely that these facilities where not available, we were disappointed! Very. Not a good start. Vasiliki was brilliant to be fair to her. As for her manager not impressed at all very abrupt at the point rudeness. As for the rest of the staff over worked and clearly under paid. However they too were brilliant. The plus for this hotel is the view, the room was ok acceptable for it’s so called 3 star rating,as for the rest not good in my opinion. This hotel has great potential if the company who owns it made the effort, but alas I think there policy is to take as much money from the guest with little care or thought for their needs!! Biggest no no for me was the drinks for the room no cups , also I was informed I’d be charged for the tea bags! 3 stars I don’t think so!!!"

"As the title of this review implies this hotel was perfect for us. The location is beautiful, I could not believe that I was privileged enough to wake up the that view every morning. The rooms are basic but sufficient and are kept spotlessly clean. Clean towels every day and clean sheets every other day. The beds are comfy and there is enough space to store clothing. The breakfast is a cold buffet but with plenty of variety, lots of pastries, cakes, bread, cold meat, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, Greek yoghurt and a big variety of fresh fruit. Endless tea coffee and fruit juice. It is also served between 8 and 11 which is a perfect window. Food served during the day is good but there is also a lovely bakery just across the road. The pool is perfect and easy to get in and out of if you have any mobility problems. There is always plenty of sun beds, especially on the grass but the comfy ones by the pool go quickly. The sea is lovely once you are in but very stony so need sea shoes. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance and bus stops outside to get you to Nidri or lefkarda. Staff are helpful and friendly. This is a quiet hotel in a quiet part of Lefkas which was perfect for us, we have loved or holiday and will definitely return."

"A fabulous experience.. - beautiful hotel with its own beach where you can paddle board, kayak, always get a sun lounger even in august! - 5 clean stunning pools which never felt busy - the best boat trip with Nikos from the hotel jetty who took us all around Meganissi and some top snorkelling stops, he is great fun and kept the lefkas wine flowing! - fantastic breakfasts with the most smiley lady squeezing fresh orange juice non stop, great start to the day - incredible sushi, Greek and fish nights .. no queues just great service and entertainment. - ordering wine and hot dogs to the room, keeping children happy, Timos was always on hand to help great chap! - the best kids club.. children went anytime between 10-6 .. non stop crafts and painting lovely staff - Elena at the bar served us some top cocktails and was so helpful and professional Overall, one of the best hotels we have been to, Felt so relaxed after six nights there with our 4 and 7 year old and would love to return! :)"

"The hotel is beautiful, just a bit outdated rooms but I don't mind that as they're very spacious and have all the comforts one needs, including a safe and a fridge. The outdoor areas and the pool are really great. They also have a restaurant near the pool with a beautiful view. Some of the staff is very friendly, some not so much but I can understand that being very busy as they are, above all in the restaurant, is not an easy job. The food is okay. My only complaint is the amount of single use cups that you see everywhere. From the restaurant area during breakfast, to the restaurant by the pool. Also water comes in plastic bottles. Given the non existing recycling problem that Greece has, I would expect hotels to do their bit to reduce the problem. Many hotels we have been around have now filters to provide drinking water, I would be happy to pay for this. Unfortunately It's not the case in this hotel. I think it's just laziness as it's easier to throw away cups, rather than washing them. This was the only issue I had."

"Had a fantastic stay here. The hotel is very clean, with lovely rooms, a good-sized balcony, comfy bed, powerful shower, and a beautiful view. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast and coffee were amazing with plenty of choice. Prices are very reasonable, and you can also buy drinks and snacks at the hotel. The pool area is lovely, quiet, and well kept. The maids clean the rooms every day. The location is peaceful, about a 25-minute walk into town where there are supermarkets and some nice restaurants and cafés, or you can take the bus. Overall, it was a quiet and relaxing stay — would definitely recommend!"

"Perfect location. I saw some unfavorable reviews and was hesitant to stay there. I was pleasantly surprised. Great hotel. The staff was so helpful telling us about restaurants. Olga thank you for your excellent customer service. It seems the hotel underwent a big renovation. New paint, nice bathrooms and new bigger TVs. Great breakfast with many options. We had a room overlooking the marina with a balcony and it was awesome. I highly recommend it."
