Walford Court

We visited Walford court for breakfast this morning. The building and grounds are beautiful, the dining area full of charm. The breakfast, was delicious we had homemade bread, freshly laid free range eggs and locally sourced ingredients from the neighbouring village. Absolutely lovely ✨️

Popped in to grab a treat The gentleman who served us was lovely and was explaining the history of the place (I’m local to Portsmouth so I knew nothing of the area ) We grabbed a scone, 4 pure orange juice, a coffee and two butterfly cakes Place was very clean and with it being a sunny day we sat outside.

Our 2nd visit. Just cannot fault this place. Quirky. Olde style rooms. The Aragon suite is just to die for. Afternoon tea in the room was delicious. Breakfast was to die for. All quality meat and home produced eggs. Just amazing. Very quiet area with some lovely countryside walk. Just cannot find any faults Will definitely be back for a 3rd visit. Ps. You must try the homemade lemon curd 👍👍👍

Such a lovely place, Craig and Debbie made us feel so welcome, and we had a wing of the property to ourselves, which was lovely. The property itself is glorious, and a stone’s throw from the Welsh border and Ludlow, so very convenient. The English breakfast was fantastic also, with eggs direct from the farm, as well as homemade muffins and shortbread. All in all, a lovely stay in a rustic, listed property in the gorgeous Ludlow countryside. Will hopefully be back in the summer ❤️

Absolutely gorgeous and wonderful vibes. Felt like home. Debbie and Craig were so caring and friendly. Couldn't be better spent time - and food was fresh and brilliant. Super clean rooms. Place to remember and want to come back...

Walford Court near Leintwardine is your quintessential Sawdays honeypot which hosts Debbie and Craig have been running now for almost 20 years. Came here Mon-Fri in midwinter to better acquaint ourselves with this beautiful part of the country and were not disappointed at all. The Courthouse suite is spacious, heavily beamed with recently exposed medieval timber flooring, and comprises a bedroom, en suite bathroom and sunny private sitting room with its own fridge. Yes, you can bring your own food, and there are so many books scattered about that you may just want to stay at home if the weather is bad. Breakfasts are scrumptuous and keep you fuelled for the rest of the day until dinner time when the choice is huge, with most nearby village pubs offering top notch meals to remind you that nearby Ludlow is the UK’s food capital and slow food the religion.
