Thornsgill House Bed & Breakfast

This delightful B&B in a beautiful Edwardian House which retains most of its original features, but with all the modern facilities you would expect from a prestigious B&B. Our ensuite room with a nice outlook was well appointed; with a coffee and tea making tray facility, which was restocked each morning, it had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The breakfast menu choice was extensive and had “something” for every taste, the quality of the food then presented was excellent. On a personal note, Anne and Barry are delightful, engaging and sincere hosts who obviously take great pride in their house and the offering they provide for their guests. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this as your place to stay when in the Wensleydale area

Perfect stay Little gem of a B & B in Askrigg, perfect location for lovely walks. Breakfasts are delicious and all local produce. Welcoming hosts, Barry & Ann, so helpful and informative. Super clean, comfy & cosy rooms.

I was attending an event in nearby Hawes and stayed for two nights. Anne and Barry made me feel very welcome after a long drive. My room was nice and airy and well equipped with coffee and tea making facilities and a nice shower. Breakfast ordered for the next day I headed out to eat in the nearby Crown Inn Pub which was very welcoming and good value. My event in Hawes was a day long event and I returned by taxi that evening. After breakfast on my last day Barry very kindly took me to pick my car up in Hawes, great service and lovely friendly hosts I would definitely recommend Thornsgill for a stay.
