Perfect spot for a restful break in Wensleydale. The hotel was very comfortable and well fitted out; the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful and the food was presented well and justified it’s looks by the taste.

We spent a long weekend, whilst celebrating our silver wedding at Middle House. It couldn't have been better. Nothing was too much trouble for John and the team. Our food was amazing, and reasonably priced for the area, everyone in our party commented appreciatively about the quality of their meals. We stayed in a deluxe room. The view from the window was amazing, probably the best view I've ever had from a hotel window. The mixture of a really comfortable bed and fresh Yorkshire air ensured that we slept really well, ready for a fabulous breakfast. The bar has a good selection of locally brewed beers as well as craft gins from local distilleries. We are very much looking forward to visiting again.

Staying nearby, stopped in twice for dinner and a drink. It’s on the sunny side of the street, the vibe was friendly and the food delicious. Lots of vegetarian, vegan, gluten free options. Good choices for dessert and non alcoholic beers. I went with family and then by myself and was treated well both times.

Wonderful location and probably the most attentive owners every thing was spot on the food was fantastic quality, all the staff were fantastic, room were very nice and clean with comfy beds. Bar was lovely with a lot of character and local characters drinking the place had a wonderful community spirit. Would highly recommend and will definitely return when visiting the scenic dales again.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful place , room comfortable and inviting beautiful views over the country side Spotlessly clean and lovely bedding Amazing breakfast and plenty of choice defiantly 10/10 Would recommend to couples and families , will def stay again

Dear staff of the Middle House, Thanks again for staying in your hotel which felt like home! For me and my friends your place was the best during our week in Yorkshire. Very friendly, respectful, rooms clean and comfortable and food really good!! Also the village and the whole area was very kind and beautiful. Hope to come back one day!
