"The hotel Is slightly outside the city center, however, it is easy to reach with a tram which stops just a few dozen meters from it and runs very frequently. The interior of the hotel is clean, modern and functional, although from a 4-star hotel we would expect some more amenities in the bathroom, such as a shower cap or some cotton disks. In our room everything worked well. The only thing is that for two people we only had one small bottle of water in the fridge, which we shared, and one big towel, which was signalled to the reception and another one was promptly brought to the room. The weirdest (almost unacceptable) thing happened when, upon check-in, we asked the reception if it was possible to eat something at the hotel at that time (about 5pm), the answer was, "you need to contact the hotel's restaurant yourself". Surprised but not discouraged, we called the restaurant from our room, just to learn they were not open until 18:30, which was kind of late for us to start a meal as we have tickets for a show at 20:00 at Le Forum. It ended all ok, we found a nice place to eat downtown, but I think that, at a 4-star property, this is an immediate job of a concierge or a reception agent to help guests find their dining options instead of sending them to contact the restaurant directly. Other than that, everything went smoothly, the breakfast was pretty good, the only recommendation is to think of installing another coffee machine, as with the only one available, there were always a few people waiting for their coffee."

"Hotel de la Couronne Liege is right in front of Gare de Liege Guillemins and just next to the Flixbus stop, so if you're just dropping by Liege, the location is perfect. There's a Carrefour Express next door and a Burger King. Gare de Liege Guillemins and the hotel are somewhat far from the museums and historical locations but the city area/Liege is so small and navigable that it's not a big deal. Couronne hotel is one of those rare European boutique hotels that still maintain comfortably sized rooms. Rooms at this price range are often quite small (even in newer European and Asian 3-star hotels) so that's a plus. Couronne is no frills (no coffee, tea, minibar, etc) but the beds and bath are clean and comfortable. Plus, there's a nice airy salon on the first floor where those staying at the hotel can sit and lounge around. There are plenty of fry-ups, a great Japanese restaurant (Nagoya), and an Aldi close by. I had a bad allergy on my second night and the staff at 1 am were helpful despite my limited French. I'm not the best at picking hotels, but Hotel de la Couronne was a good choice for my two nights."

"I was just staying for the night as I attended a show in Liege and there was no more train to go back home. The dormitory was clean and comfortable. I liked the security of the locker that you can open and close with your own hostel card. I also loved the location of the hostel, right next to the train station, really practical. I didn't really take the time to enjoy the facilities, but I liked the general vibe of the building (cosy, trendy, relaxing)."

"Very nice and clean hotel with a entertaining lobby. You can't miss noticing you are in Belgium with comic decoration in the room. Pretty stylish for a ibis hotel. The hotel has its own parking, but I arrived to late in the night so there were some free public spaces outside the hotel. Just make sure to move the car in the morning before 8am. Location is also good, just near the railway station and easy access. It's a good value for money and also a pleasant stay."
