What a delight to revisit this iconic colonial hotel tucked away in the lush tea suburbs of Kenya! After several months, I was overjoyed to see remarkable improvements that made this stay truly memorable. The staff were wonderfully attentive and welcoming, with the ever-smiling waitress Joyce serving delicious meals promptly, adding a warm touch to every dining experience. The reception team, led by the highly professional Kigen, ensured a seamless check-in, setting the tone for a fantastic visit. The hotel grounds were a sight to behold, with impeccably trimmed, vibrant green lawns that enhanced the serene ambiance. Our room, lovingly maintained by Sabina, was spotless and filled with the enchanting scent of jasmine flowers, creating a cozy and inviting retreat. Breakfast was an absolute highlight, boasting a colorful array of fresh fruits and delectable pastries that left us spoiled for choice. The massage treatment was pure bliss, further elevating the sense of indulgence. It’s evident that new leadership has instilled a guest-first approach, transforming the experience into something truly special. The only minor drawbacks were the worn furniture in need of reupholstering and a slightly neglected gym and pool area. Nonetheless, this visit felt like a royal escape, brimming with warmth and charm. I’m already looking forward to my next stay at this delightful haven!

A thrill to share this! You’ve got the most incredible people and absolutely GREAT food—bursting with that colonial signature charm that’s simply unmatched! The vibe? Tranquil, peaceful, and so out-of-this-world it takes my breath away! And NANCI at reception? An absolute GEM who lights up the place! I’m firm on this: it’s pure perfection, and I’m buzzing with excitement over it all! management doing their homework rather visibly well..

Food is good however.... the kitchen here is wanting. We ordered for food which took 2+ hours to get to the table. One order was still missing and the waiter did not seem to even remeber of it. One table was getting attention due to a Govornment official being at it. Drinks took forever as well and most items were out of stock. Kitchen 0.5/10 Service guy 5/10 Food quality 8/10

Perfect wedding day The most enjoyable thing here is the lovely, kind and attentive service we have received at Sovereign Suites. All the staff were so sweet to us that I will remember them as part of our wonderful wedding day. Some special mentions at the end. My wife Grace chose Sovereign Suites for our white wedding and it really was a perfect venue. The extensive, lush and beautiful gardens; the supremely helpful and joyous staff ( they were palpably joyous for us on our big day - and some joined in our dancing!); a splendid lunch in the marquee and the impressive building with its old-world interiors - all added up and contributed to our perfect day. We couldn't tear ourselves away and stayed two nights. The bridal suite is huge with a bathroom the size of most living rooms. We loved all the retro panelling and the huge terrace outside the room - with breakfast in the sunshine. We had dinner with our in-laws in an impressive private dining room panelled like a 20th century boardroom. Again the service was lovely. Special mention to Moses and James who went out of their way to make us comfortable. Also to our room cleaner Dominic who was very kind and courteous to us. And to Peter, who brought us a lovely breakfast in our room. And to all the other staff who helped to give us an unforgettable, wonderful stay.
