Apartaments Els Llorers

Located on a hill at the edge of the town, approx 1.5 mile to the bus station / town centre of Lloret. Its a good 30-40 min stroll. The walk back to the hotel is the hard-work! The hotel is up on a hill, with the final section of road being extremely steep - almost vertical!! It is located in a residential area, surrounded by houses only and one tiny shop at the end of the street but i never went in it. Nearest supermarket is down hill approx 15 min walk. Hotel has a shuttle bus but again never used it. Rooms are basic but you get what you pay for. Self catering apartments with kettle, toaster, microwave, coffee percolator, gas hob. Welcome cleaning bag with washing up liquid, sponge, cloth and matches. … but no tea towel! Kitched pot, pan, crockery, cutlery and utensils supplied. TV and wifi although both dip loads. Bedding was a sheet and a duvets (no cover!). Bathroom towels provided were nice. Not used supplied pool towel voucher. Expected to throw your own bin bags away in communal bins. New towels supplied on penultimate day. Room walls are paper thin. Hear every door close in the block, kid shouting, music from bar, swimming pool water fall ….and be prepared to be disturbed 9pm-12am by more doors slamming, kids running about and the loud booming voices selfish (drunk?) guests! In addition you can hear the your neighbouring guests water cistern filling when they flush their loo and run the hot tap. Oh and always have a fire alarm go off! In a four night duration the fire alarm rang out 5 times…..all after 930pm !! Good points are power shower and the Seaview! (well thats if reception don’t try to fiddle you out of the room you’d initially booked and paid for). We got given a basement poolside terrace instead of a superior seaview … obviously refused it as the poolside room was constantly noisy with kids and families and from the bar - all day til 9-10pm. Also having staff and guests staring into the room/terrace. No privacy. 50€ deposit by credit card payable on arrival plus the tourist tax. Check in 3pm which was not relayed to us by Jet2 - despite arriving to resort at 12 lunchtime. Bag store was a separate locked building which staff will open for you, but nothing is tagged and you place on racking yourself, all guests can gain access to get ‘their’ stuff when they want (and ‘trusted’ to go to their own bags!!) Great for families who want to just be pool side and room based all holiday.

We've been here for just under 3 weeks and have mixed reviews. It's ok.. can't complain too much about the apartments. They are basic but have what you need. There is no oven-which is awful for dinner times for a family of 7. The bar/restaurant is really dear and you aren't allowed to eat or drink anything around the pool that hasn't come from the bar. Including crisps and snacks! They walk around looking under the sun beds looking if you have your own drinks. A few saving graces are.. the beds are the most comfortable, the shower is amazing and the towels are soft. A real bonus! The wee mini bus is a nice touch. We didn't use it often but it is handy late in the afternoon and the kids are tired and don't want to walk back up the hills. Talking of hills lol, the one right outside is not that big of a deal. But it is very steep for a short distance, so worth noting for those with mobility issues. Evening entertainment isn't on every night. The singer wasn't allowed her music to be too loud as the hotel is on a small residential area and there is a noise restriction. The magic man was good. It is freezing in the evening but they do provide fleece blankets. Seating area not big enough to accommodate everyone. Clean towels were provided every 4 days. Clean sheets left in apartment once a week. No cleaners ever came in. Small room for kids to play but not occupied during our stay. At the pool table at night (1€ a go, only game available) a queue forms. There was one kids matching game with 17 singles with no pairs lol. 3 sheets to colour in and no crayons available. Only one male and female toilet in the bar area. 2 kids play parks on site. Small but handy. Only one swing in each park. There is another pool but slides not turned on. Nicer than the main pool area, quieter too. Sun beds nicer there. Even in April sun bed hoggers take all the beds. All in all, not a cheap and cheerful holiday at all. Not much for kids in Lloret, and won't be back again. 16€ for 5 soft kids drinks is excessive. The wee woman with the shop down the hill sells 'juicy' dilute juice for 4€. Another rip off lol. Good points, comfy beds, powerful showers, soft towels and free beach towels. Bring a load of money, don't eat or drink around the pool unless you want to be told off, plan meals for no ovens in advance, bring cooking essentials with you!!!!!!

Worst place ever. So hilly, no room cleaning service, staff very very rude especially manager. Dated rooms, over priced restaurant, only 1 pool operating, have to ask for clean bed sheets, towels, toilet rolls. Parks so small, not all rooms have a bath as stated

Stayed here for a week , lovely place cheap and cheerful with good cleaning service and clean rooms on arrival , had an amazing time from start to finish , decor abit dated but you can see past this . Good facilities .. basketball/football court, swimming pools ,pool table in bar / restaurant and entertainment at night . Will return again lovely area with free hotel shuttle beach 10 min walk, same as town. Plenty to do here

Arrived at apartments 10a.m only for a 5 hour wait for apartment to be ready even though it was very quiet, no information about anything from receptionist apart from “ it’s that way to bar / restaurant come back at 3 “ . Apartment tired tatty and grubby, no clean bedding all week but did get towels . Bar / restaurant area always dirty even though plenty of staff but all reluctant to clean up . Lloret itself is very rundown with lots of hotels closedown. All in all avoid the lot

Ik ben werkzaam als reisagent en boekte dit hotel van 08.09.2024 tot en met 20.09.24. Ik boekte dit voor een vakantie met mijn vriend om het gebied van de Costa Brava te ontdekken. We zochten dus naar een simpele accommodatie voor een goede prijs. Het hotel heeft mijn verwachtingen overtroffen. Het wordt goed bijgehouden en is schoon. Uiterst vriendelijk personeel en een leuk entertainment programma. s'avonds is het gebied om het zwembad heen een gezellig plek om een drankje te doen met wat lekkers. Mochten we terugkomen in de costa brava, dan zullen we zeker dit hotel overwegen. Ook leuk voor kinderen met leuke avondactiviteiten, speeltuin en zwembad. Ook een goede ligging voor als je met de auto bent. (mocht je niet met de auto zijn, dan hebben ze een goede pendelservice naar het strand/boulevard en terug) Dankjewel voor een fijn verblijf!
