Piccadilly Hostel

Central location. Walked to parks, theatre & train stations. The outside & entrance are still looking like a building site. The entrance and reception area are small considering how many peoples the building can accomodate. The receptionist is friendly & helpful though. Once entering the lift & living area which are clean and mordern. Felt a bit dark in the common cocoon area- may be few pictures in the wall will give this place some characteristics. If the company can create a common mingle area, which will be appreciated as it has quite international feel in the cocoon area. The shower area is a bit like the shower block when I go camping and caravanning. Clean and modern, but the shower head is terrible and splashing water everywhere- even in the suppose to be dry area! ( may be the face downward shower heads will be more suitable for that small area.). In general, I am happy with my one night stay with a small rucksack L. Value for money.

I found the accommodation a little tricky to locate due to mixed messaging around the branding - I booked on the ZedWell website and receive a booking receipt from them. However, I also recieved a booking confirmation from Piccadilly Hostel. Directions on the website tell you to look out for ZedWell Capsule Piccadilly but there is actually no reference at all to ZedWell in the signage. It simply says Piccadilly Hostel ( which is currently half covered in scaffolding). You can tell the accommodation if still ‘work in progress’ so maybe this is to come later. Based on first appearances I was slightly concerned about what I was walking into but I needn’t have worried. Check in was easy and the guy at the desk was polite and helpful. I was allocated a capsule on the 5th floor in a female dorm. As mentioned above it is quite clear that some of the dorms are still under construction. I had a cosy nights sleep. Toilets/ showers were plentiful and clean (just remember to take key card with you !). I would probably bring some flip flops next time! One thing I was keen to google before my visit was whether the capsules lock - they do from the inside and I didn’t have any concerns about safety. They lock from the outside but anyone can open them so not sure about leaving belongings in there whilst out for the day, although many people left their cases outside their capsule. I did notice a couple of obviously more seasoned capsule travellers who had brought a small padlock with them! At £45 a night I can’t complain and Woukd be happy to stay again.

As a forensics investigator, traveling up and down the country where is stay is led by my leads. One minute it’s the Savoy, the next Hilton or a £16 hostel. So have had my fair share of accommodations amidst multiple timeframes. ZEDWELL This isn’t a hostel. It’s accessible luxury. Albeit don’t expect champagne and caviar, however expect top tier interior designed, extremely functionality without compromise on quality. The architecture of all is a rare blend to execute as smoothly as this. You get a private person focused accommodation space, despite being a pod above someone 6 directly beneath, in front and to the sides- it felt and was a space of my own. Inbuilt air-con style fan systems, led lighting, hooks for clothing and an abundance of space sitting up or lay Down With a full width entry facing mirror adding space and a further enhancement to self preservation, and restoration. The bathroom long sleek with a luxury clinical form perfect for wanting to know a wash space is in order maintained and also still holds a feeling of privacy despite it being shared. This build / occupancy space is new and deserves kind, appreciation and patience it’s clear it’s opened to serve its guests for their essential stay and minor things like signage and customer navigation is always going to be a developing process it’s a big building. You don’t get many well designed and layed out spaces of stay for this price and this high end quality so central or anywhere I’ve stayed in London. Highly recommend. Do your bit in participating in keeping and enhancing good business become great and welcomely share the team any process or function points that would benefit from a checking, that would make your last or other stay even better for the value you’re getting. You’ll find it hard to find a decent and top end place to stay in London so let’s help keep rare finds like this supported and accessible Especially news ones like this
